One other feature I forgot to test - mute subtracks in song mode. Was that fully implemented in 1.3?
I found perform mode use strangely basic - no logo on screen that is active for example - fingers crossed this actually turns into a macro menu ala A4… As live performance managing mutes in subtracks + then changing tracks to tweak sounds was super awkward flow as you lose the subtracks mutes

Nah it’s different. If you scroll left all the way and hit func+yes on any other takt it will add spaces in, I think the difference is that it reads the first letter now instead of reading a space at the start of the name potentially?

Oh I think I misread what you meant then. So it doesn’t let you insert a space at the beginning on the Tonverk? Odd.
I don’t know if I explained it well either, I’m not with my takt at the moment so it’s hard to explain what is different, but I feel certain that you can insert spaces at any point in the text.
Indeed :
- On Digitone 2, Fn+Yes inserts a space
- On Tonverk, Fn+Yes inserts currently selected character (can be a space)
Tonverk seems better if you want to insert characters directly. On Digitone 2 you have to insert a space, go back with arrow and input a character.
If you want to insert spaces only, Digitone 2 is better. 
Probably similar on other Digis and Syntakt…

there now a way to move patterns and the like to other projects?
yeah you can copy them , exit and enter the new project and paste. one by one 
Wish that transfer had some type of deeper management feature for doing this

not sure if im misunderstanding but i just retested on 1.3.1 and it’s still not possible to copy & paste patterns across projects.

Did anyone recognize this before: I made a new project using one of my own multisamples on one track. Whenever I load the project new or turn TV off and on, the sample isn’t playing anymore. Like no sound at all. I can see the notes being triggered on the sequencer and as soon as I re enter multisample browser and load that same sample, it works perfectly.
On a more general note: how slow/fast is TV for you personally? Now that I use it a bit more to make actual patterns, I notice that I‘m spending a lot of time waiting (for patterns to save, copy, or be memorized). I‘m usually using sub tracks with 16 velocity layers and three round robins on tracks 1-4 and multisample without velocity layers on track 5-8. Should I expect TV to always be as slow or will it be as fast as a digi if I build more simple sub tracks with just one sample per track?
There’s no mention of that topic in the release notes either.

im sure that if/when they implement it they’ll shout it out.
yes. and also one multisample just stopped working – as in i was unable to load it onto any track ( → error) but it still lived happily on a few of my patterns so if I wanted to use it, I had to copy it out of the healthy patterns

Yes for sure, it’s such a feature that’s been requested many times, and more broadly a proper project, pattern, and sample manager. It’s really something I’m missing.

Are you on the new 1.3.1? If so, and your bug is reproducible, email elektron. There are similar sounding fixed bugs in the latest patch

I dont think it’s about preference. Do you think there is any benefit to a duplication button? Imagine the spacebar on a keyboard simply duplicated the last letter you pressed. That would be useless. Func+yes was our spacebar and now it is a useless shortcut.
Sounds like an excellent candidate for a feature request to make this behaviour optional in the personalise menu then.

Yes, I use it for my vocal parts.
I don’t see any duplication button.
Hold Func, choose character, press Yes to insert it.
If you don’t change selected character, it duplicates it.
Spacebar vs insert any character (including space)?
My preference is insert any character, makes more sense to me, rather than insert space only and having to use arrows to input the character you want.
I’d rather send a feature request to have same behavior on Digis.
Option welcome.
(I barely use space for naming, I usually use different case or underscore, coder habit)
