Hi, not a Tonverk user (yet) but I’m sketching studio setup ideas and wanted to understand TV’s USB capabilities. Reading the manual it says:
“USB AUDIO IN
This parameter lets you select where to route the external audio over USB”
So can you, say, have a DT(2) and route its audio straight through USB port into TV?
That would leave the 1/4" audio in of TV for another device so you could route an Elektron device + a random synth into TV?
To get two USB devices to talk to each other one of them has to act as a USB host - this is typically the role assumed by a computer. No Elektron synth (so far) has the ability to act as a USB host so you cannot get them to talk directly to each other over USB.
Ah there is that then. But for me, when I say dawless, I mean extreme dawless = nothing capable of internet is gonna touch my setup lol … (just because otherwise my scattered brain will not manage a single song).
External synth into Tonverk (you can apply effects)
Tonverk into Digitakt (you can resample)
Digitakt audio out
That’s how I use it
I personally feel like is harder to structure a song without a DAW with a “scatter brain”. Good luck programming 2 songs (one for each device since Tonverk program change doesn’t work properly yet + they have different name of pages)

Hello everyone, the Tonverk is about to be my first Elektron machine, and I’ve always taken issue with the low res display.
Does anyone tech savvy know if I replace the display with a higher res screen that the images will actually change (smoother) or will the images themselves still be blocky and pixelated? Thanks!
elektron devices have had the same basic resolution for decades … i cant recall ever seeing a screen replacement that improved the pixel art …even the bigger screen from analog 4 mk1 to mk2 had the same artwork, it was just bigger/sharper .
i doubt it would do anything if its possible … except cost a lot and possibly break things .
A display module shouldn’t cost that much nor be much more work than unplugging and plugging a cable. I just don’t know if a high res screen would change the smoothness of the images. For instance, the images could be deliberately designed as large pixels so a high res screen wouldn’t eliminate the pixelated look.

if i load in a multi (large amount of samples) on track 1, and load it on track 2, does it take twice the memory or does it reuse it .
inc if i load it directly or as an instrument or a preset ?
i know what the obvious answer should be but ive not checked . i’d expect multiple instruments / presets would use a little memory (for parameters etc ) but not the 100’s megs for sample data
