If you are starting to run out of ideas as to how to get to 5000 posts, choosing the right two-letter acronym is going to be a challenge.

The verk jokes make me think of this shirt that my wife wears on occasion:

Need a dad jokes anonymous thread… can’t handle the level of cheese

The legend himself…

Tonverk roughly translates to a score / composition

This thread is ridiculous. I just want to be part of the crowd.

Cheese makes life worth living. If one can’t be just plain silly once in a while, what’s the point? One doesn’t have to be “on” with razor-wit at all times. Sometimes a joke whizzing by UNDER one’s head is just as effective as a joke going OVER one’s head, or even smacking one right IN the head.

Or is a thread like this on a synth-nerdery forum “serious business”? If so, I’m doing it wrong… :frowning:

seems logical that when they developed Digitakt 2 plaform software and harwarde-wise, they would like to expand on the capabilities of it.

Could be the sameish hardware with different OS running the machine, with different controls on top.
Part of the sampling capabilities would be migrated from Digitakt 2, in a similar fashion when AR2 had a bit of the Digitakt engine in it. The other part of the mixture would be having Digitone capabilities, most likely expanded. FX could have been taken/evolved from AHFX+ as well…

we gonna werk it out soon, no worries

That’s what I hope.

It took 3 times to say it but it’s ok.

Well, it could. But I have never seen the word used for that.
It could also translate to a mechanism that produces tones.

The thing I’ve wanted from Elektron for years now is pretty close to something like this.

8 track mixer, recorder, with standard Elektron sequencing that can automate mixing and recording tasks. (parameter slides would be most effective for this)

So kind of a more hands-on Bluebox type of thing with a lot more control.

They make everything else. Synths, samplers, effects, etc. so why not a more portable studio type thing?

I know the Octatrack is kind of used in this way, but I think a purpose built mixer/recorder (maybe even some MIDI tracks) would be incredible.

I know it’s not exactly what you were getting at, but your post reminded me how much I wanted this type of device.

Allright, interersting! I looked it up in Icelandic when the first speculations arose. Albeid vague and no clear translation. That’s what i got from it.

This thing should really offer PARAMETER SLIDES for CC values when using it as a midi sequencer imo. Knowing Elektron, this doesn’t seem likely to be honest. I’m reconsidering the Squarp Hapax again now.

Anyways, to be more precise. What i found is that Tónverk (Icelandic) translates to sheet music.

“Motion Layer” certainly sounds like parameter slides

except the motions will all be jerky, just to mess with the “parameter slides” crowd
