Bug fixes

The automatic file system check and repair introduced in OS 1.3.2 has been removed. On some SD cards with a large number of files, it could take a long time and sometimes cause a project to fail to load.

Dang, was hoping for full kit and performance mode functionality.

Now do the one where .wav files won’t load because loop_end is set to the last sample of the file or whatever.

Sounds more like a hotfix than anything else. Luckily I didn’t run into that issue.

Is this a question ?
Could you be more clear about the issue you’re talking about and how to reproduce it ?

It’s been mentioned in the loopseek thread too … if a sample is only the loop section , the start and end points are basically zero samples long ( I think that’s the issue )
To fix it the multi sample needs the initial fade in or tail on the sample , taking more sample space
Apparently it might’ve been ok on 1.3.1

I have multi samples with looping single cycles, obviously from start to end, it works. So I don’t know what that bug really is. Didn’t try Loopseek. (Eventually someone me a non working multi so I could compare…)

My workaround was to just keep the attack / loop / decay of the sample … I didn’t dig too deeply into it , life is too short

Sounds live longer with loops !

Need sequencing of individual bars for 8bar pattern editing pls!

Welcome @RekurDrum

It’s not clear what you want. But if you mean:

  • I have a pattern with 8 pages and I’d like playback to jump to one of those pages
  • I have a pattern with 8 pages, and I want just some of those pages to play in a loop
  • I have a pattern with 8 pages, and I want to be able to jump directly to one of those pages for editing without hitting PAGE repeatedly

Those are all already possible. See the note in section “10.3 Grid Recording Mode” of the manual where they talk “SELECT PAGE” about “LOOP PAGES”.

If not, maybe you could say more about what you’re trying to do?

Also, Elektron doesn’t monitor these forums for feature requests. If you want them to see what you write, contact them directly.

Does this mean that the issues people had with broken projects and missing samples etc. on 1.3.2 are now fixed?

Possibly … I didn’t have any issues .
All I did was copy / paste the release notes …

I guess if people still have issues or it has resolved issues … people will post on the forum

Or … people in the beta testing & qa dept at elektron confirmed it had fixed their issues before posting the new os .

From my understanding, what causes the issue is the automatic file system check and repair introduced in OS 1.3.2. By removing it, the issue is gone.

Boot bug squashed

Thank you Elektron

Yes, fixed for me. And the presets have re-appeared, and the issue of master volume reverting to 0 at boot has gone away too.

No problem here too.

I didn’t do the last update so I skipped that noise, glad it’s sorted out.
