use “search & replace” function on your text editor?

If you’re on a PC, I can recommend Notepad++

If you’re on a mac, There was one really awesome new free txt editor I forgot the name of… ATM, I use an editor called Smultron, which can be found on the app store, it costs a couple euros but is very slick and quite well featured. Wish I’d remember what the name was for that new free one though…

Yeah this was my first experience with auto sampling. Did the recordings, went to check where it was recorded, changed the name of the folder, then tried to load. Failure.

Also I did delete one of the folder because I was not happy with my settings, but the instrument still appear in the list, and naturally fails to load.

Hope they can get that one hammered out quickly… if this is truly there first machine not running bare metal it’s not always the easiest thing to squash (see torso S4) if it is related to dependencies. I suppose time will tell, but I do think elektron will make good on it any way possible.

thanks, had the same idear and downloaded a german free text editor.
I replaced the sample names. It made first an error loading the card but solved it now. Will open a bugreport at Elektron this week. found more and will report this all.

yes that is true, but also there are some nice things.
I sampled the whole day my Six Trak to the TV. Sounds awsome. Also with chord function you get a massive great polysynth.

is anyone able to reproduce this:

FLTR settings on audio tracks do not have any effect on external audio routed into this track via the Mix->SRC settings?

I.e.

  • I am triggering an external synth using Midi on track 1
  • external synth audio out is routed into TV on In A/B
  • Mix->SRC has both ROUT boxes set to TRK2
  • Changing FLTR on track2 does not have an effect on the audio routed into it (sanity check: FX do have an effect)

I’d consider this a bug?!

FX LFO in hold mode does not have an effect on mod destination on external audio routed into an audio track using the mixer

edit: this is probably not a bug if an LFO set to hold would require a trig to be set but there are no trigs set on that channel? :slight_smile:

Sub Tracks Machine. Amp Setup.

There are 3 Parameters:

Velocity to Vol - for all Sub Tracks the same
Envelope Mode - per Sub Track
Envelope Reset - per Sub Track

For my use cases its ok but i think thats not the intended functionaliy?!

From the manual, page 18:

When selecting a track as a destination for the external inputs, the audio is routed directly
to the insert effects and not through the track’s overdrive, filters, or amp.

the line between bug and feature request can be pretty thin sometimes

its a valid request,
the bus and mix tracks do not have a filter sections either
so if you want a filter on a non audio track, or a filter to multiple tracks,
you need to use an fx slot and select one of the filters fx’s

I’ve got a bug that I’ll report to the support page.

  1. I load a preset and I play some notes in live record mode. Just short notes.
  2. Then i I start p-locking various things: pan, overdrive, filter, etc.
  3. when i try to p-lock note length and velocity under the Trig menu, there’s no change. Holding down the trig I can see the values are locked but it doesn’t play a longer note or a different velocity.

This only happens for trigs recorded live as far as I can tell. If I put it in manually the plocks in Vel and Len work as expected. If I try and copy the live recorded trig someplace else, it carries that bug with it.

Anyone else have issues with recording over USB audio? I’ve got a class compliant 1010 bluebox that I use as an audio interface for my modular gear. Ableton picks it up as an input without any issue, but I have not been able to get the TV to receive audio over USB. The bluebox is known to not work unless the device supports 48khz audio streaming over USB, which I would assume the TV supports well because sampling seems to default to 48khz, but maybe it is not currently supported to stream audio at 48khz over USB? Anyone have similar experiences? I asked support if 48khz was supported and gave context.

I’ve also been experimenting with an Expert Sleepers Disting NT with usb streaming out, which also works well for ableton, but doesn’t work with the TV so far. This supports changing the streaming rate to 44.1, 48 or others, as well as selecting the block size manually, but I don’t see any reference in the manual to what might be appropriate for the TV.

I think I’ll wait 1-2 firmware updates before I get one.
I’m not ready to work around those bugs (autosampler, sync issues) yet - I don’t have the drive for it right now.

Thank you for your feedback. Some people reported that there is midi jitter happening. And that the devs trying to fix it. This could potentially also fix the autosampler issue.

yeah I also have a heavy midi jitter issues and I guess it affects the multisampling process resulting in those microdelays
