Tonverk as master midi - start/stop?

Hi to all,

Does somebody use a midi controller to start/stop the tonverk, when the TV is set as master midi clock.

I have a live setup and need to start/stop the TV by foot.

I did not find anything in the manual !

You can do this, I was using a Neuzeit Drop with it for a while and it worked perfectly.

What was the midi cc or note or something else that was triggering the start/stop on the tonverk ?

My apologies, I misunderstood your question by not reading it thoroughly enough.

Probably do able by having the pedal assigned to the Volume of Track 16 which is the master mix track. So channel 16, CC95.

Can your midi foot controller send midi start/stop (not CC)? If so, that should work.

I am more looking for a real midi sync, to be able to symchronise audio loops on my ZOIA to beats on the tonverk. :wink:

So assigning it to the master volume would not work in my setup.

Yes it does work but it does send midi clock for this, and so tonverk is in slave midi sync state.

As i did not succeed to synchronise my loops on the ZOIA to beats on the tonverk, i was wondering maybe to have the tonverk in master midi sync mode.

But it does look as its not possible to trig start/stop in this case !

What device is being used to send the stop/start message?

It is possible to set TV to send clock and transport (master clock) and to receive transport (start / stop), clock receive disabled.

Tested with Digitone 2 to send start / stop.

You can use the ERM Multiclock to stop/start the Tonverk in sync with the Zoia.

Yes exactly, this works. I realized that my problem is still more a ZOIA problem, I am still not able to synchronise my looper with a clock.

If somebody has ideas about this maybe we can MP because it goes out of Tonverk subject.

Interesting but a bit overkill for my setup to have a box doing the sync. :wink:

I already posted something on discord but no answer yet, and it was a while ago already.

I spent some hours on sunday trying to sync the ZOIA looper to midi clock, its kind of working but the loop always drift after sometime. And programming it look quite advanced.
