This is becoming a straight up super group.

I love these players they used in the studio! So many killer players. Iā€™ve been obsessed with Chelsea Carmichael and Theon Cross for the past few years.

Iā€™m done listening to these singles. Theyā€™ve been so good I donā€™t want to burn them out before the album.

This has probably been posted before, but it certainly couldnā€™t hurt to see again. Lovely use of his euro for accompaniment.

these sessions were wonderful

Thom played an acoustic set at the weekend in Zermatt in Switzerland, which sounds like it was amazing.

Apparently it was recorded by the venue but there are already quite a few videos dotted around. Itā€™s an insane setlist. According to Stereogum, it was:

  1. Has Ended
  2. Free In The Knowledge
  3. Bodysnatchers
  4. Everything In Itā€™s Right Place
  5. Suspirium
  6. Pana-Vision
  7. Daydreaming
  8. Decks Dark
  9. I Might Be Wrong
  10. These Are My Twisted Words
  11. Bloom
  12. Unmade
  13. Open Again
  14. Present Tense
  15. The Clock
  16. Videotape
  17. Idioteque
  18. Rabbit In Your Headlights
  19. Exit Music (For A Film)
  20. Spectre
  21. The Eraser
  22. House Of Cards
  23. Weird Fishes / Arpeggi

For Idioteque he looped some chords on his piano and then sang the song, it was great!

Wow that setlist is insane for a full band let alone Yorke Solo

looks like heā€™s using a Make Noise Shared System to capture and modulate loops in some combination of Morphagene + Ecophon + Erbe-Verb. hard to say for sure, of courseā€¦ but the patch looks pretty simple.

a quick google did lend some weight to that theory though:

anyway, thatā€™s a cool clip. likely he could do the same performance with a Blooper now though

Yeah I think heā€™s got the piano micā€™d and amplified through the Shared Systemā€™s input, then using the ā€œFreezeā€ button on Echophon to capture/loop bits of his playing, then sending all that through Erbe Verb. Also appears to be some clocking from Tempi and maybe an LFO from Maths.

I love this man so much.

Iā€™m more impressed by the Britishness of having his cup of tea next to him :grinning:
