Theoryboard kickstarter

I have one from an older batch, same program change issue, hopefully will be fixed in the next firmware revision. Make sure to send a bug report.

Yeah, will be messaging in the morning. Good to know that it’s not just mine, at least.

How is the quality of the TB, is it sturdy and/or with metal case?

Not as great as I’d have liked, honestly? Case is plastic. Nothing like the keystep pro, say.

That’s insane given the price of a midi controller.

I’m… well, let’s see how they do fixing the display issue and what it’s like once the firmware update comes out so it’s actually usable. Not off to a good start, though.

I have two and haven’t encountered any bugs. Build quality good enough on mine.

Have you hooked it up to anything that receives program changes and tried using the top buttons?

Sounds like you should sell one to one of us

Would you say the quality is comparable to plastic midi mini keyboards?

It’s sturdy. Pads aren’t great. I bought the second because I don’t ever want to be without one, so I need a backup for when they are out of production.

Yes, never had an issue.

Interesting. I may need to get mine plugged into something with a midi monitor to debug it properly.

Yep, that’s a known bug, if updates come… nobody knows…, the guy who was responsible jumped off the train

Check the user TB Facebook, lots of infos there (users only):

Have you been using it on USB or TRS?

I use USB

Ah, yeah — looks like this is a TRS-only bug

Just got a brand new used one with screen protector still on for 500. I am going to hook it up to the MPC X. Since I have no manual if anyone has any good tips or starting points I am all ears.

Just pulled the trigger on a Theoryboard only to be told after purchasing it’s only a U.S power supply ~ I think it would be a nice touch if this was mentioned on the website and there be some links to a TB recommended adaptor for your region that can easily be picked up on Amazon ( I’m in the UK)

If your TB power adapter is like mine it handles a range of AC voltages in, so you just need a US to UK plug adapter.

Enjoy your Theoryboard !

Thanks for your reply but to be fair you are based in the U.S and I would be interested to know what anyone in the UK will be using with the TB? as 240v/110v are worlds apart and I need to run it on a power supply as getting a bus power drain with other equipment. Why can’t Irijule just give us some suggestions for our region? There was nothing on the purchase page that said it’s a U.S power supply only.
