The Syntakt Feature Request Thread

Yep this should be possible. Not just presets but patterns also.

Some more advanced Algorithmic Composing Functions would be nice too: Introducing NGEN – Algorithmic MIDI Workstation — Spektro Audio

Te signal path from External Analog Audio Input - to - USB Output is weak. I would like to boost that level. Recording to my computer or iPad through that path requires normalization.

There is +18db boost of usb output if you need it

That 18dB gain is on the input.

I think it was here, somewhere else suggested to link the trigs of two tracks for layering sounds.

I strongly support this feature request, actually for all Digi Boxes.

On the Syntakt, I not only layer sounds, but also not seldomly hardpan the same sound on two tracks.

On the Digitakt, I load left and right channel of a sample and hardpan those, to get stereo.

This would make these procedures FASTER [especially when working on a rhythm etc.] …

Trig settings would be nice to have, and cntrl machines. Things we have on the Silver foxes. (MD & MnM).

I’ve been experimenting with different iOS apps on my phone to manipulate midi, there’s a few different good options out there. Although, that is not the same as having it within the boxes.

With midi loop, you can set all the desired tracks to the same midi channel and use a dedicated midi channel to trigger all of those at the same time. By the end, you have 2-4 tracks tied up, but hey, limitations sprout creativity and love.

Back on topic, yes. Trig options would be great.

Digitone is currently the only one that can do this.
For Digitakt I would love to be able to convert two channels to stereo pair.

A workaround would be to use NEI trig condition but you’re limited to using the tracks next to each other. On the following track, just put down trigs on every step with the NEI condition and it should only trigger the same time as the first.

Midi loopback ?

Dangit, sometimes you ppl are a bit crazy! I want my live to be easier, not harder (and the boxes do the work, not me)! :stuck_out_tongue:

feature request:
seperate the master distortion from the fx track!
i want that extra drive on the kick, but also want to create that pumping effect on other sounds at the same time using the fx tracks amp envelope, which is not possible at the moment.

A4 too, but Digitone poly / layers implementation is better.

Works. 2 ways : use a midi track, or record trigs from 1 track controlling another one. Make setting for both (same midi channel).

+1 , The modifier trigs would be perfect if they doubled up as dedicated MIDI tracks. I might actually use them in that case.

Oh cool, I didn’t know the A4 could. Makes sense though.

I haven’t made use of the layers on DN yet. Making a giant FM poly synth?

I found interesting to layer tracks with different settings, locks trigs (applied with DN :expressionless:), different arps speed; etc.

I want all these for ST of course.

Would love to see different play modes per track.
Forwards
Backwards
Pendulum 1 (no double end note)
Pendulum 2 (double end note)
Random
Walk

Applies to all 3 Digi boxes of course

I would love to be able to press the mod button that would lock and use the 4 knobs to control assignable parameters (even being able to control entire mod parameter pages by the other mod track. This could be set in the menu (mod menu) To unlock the parameters, you would just cut the mod by pushing the button again.

I’m not articulate. Sorry

Some lower fidelity waves would be nice.

  1. Mod Retrig that respects swing.
  2. LFO to Trig Note (not just tune), within a scale? even better
  3. Ability to mute/unmute tracks together via releashing FUNC button (similar to Rytm i think)

I’ll add all Trig page parameters (especially Vel, which would allow 4 parameters modulation, LEN).

Also available on OT.

I’m sure this had come up before but here goes: I often program the first embryo of a sequence using only 16 steps to get something going quickly. I then add conditional trigs like 2:2 or 4:4 to space out some trigs across four bars. It would be lovely if there was the ability to automatically space out such a pattern across 64 steps and have it automatically convert e.g. a 4:4 trig by removing it on all pages except page 4 and turn that into a normal trig instead.

Similarly, I’d love a way to change the resolution of a track sequence and have it do its best to figure out where to place notes. For example, let’s say I programmed a pattern at 1/4X speed on 16 steps, and then I want to change it to 1/2X to allow for some more detailed fill notes. It would then space the existing 16 trigs into 32 steps and any microtimings etc are preserved so it sounds the same as before.
