I’d like for the page looping to be saved to the pattern and not disappear whenever we switch to another pattern. Would make it very useful when arranging a song
They monitor if you post a meme.
Serious request (or maybe I don’t know how to use mine):
-
When browsing the preset pool, it should be possible have a configuration option to only show the presets that apply to the type of track from which you are casting sounds: digital/analog/analog cymbals. EDIT: omg… I was experiencing a bug yesterday, with multiple presets producing the same sine wave sound
-
Please add Multimap control
-
Since we have an fx track, why don’t have delay and reverb presets also?
-
Swing per track
-
SYChordArp machine: like the chord machine but with an arpeggio macro control instead of the inversion/balance control.
Copy/Clear/Paste Banks, please
Here’s another simple request: an accent feature (aka: an easy way to control a second set of velocities for multiple trigs at once)
There are quite a few requests for scale quantized modulation (tune vis LFO for instance) - which would be amazing for all Elektron machines - but in the mean time I would love for the Syntakt to have the Digitakt II’s ability to limit note assignment (in the TRIG menu) to the selected scale.
With the recent addition of the euclidean sequencer, this would greatly enhance the live performance / semi-generative capabilities of the Syntakt. I had a blast this weekend on the DTII this way, playing a euclidean sequence, live recording notes within a scale, changing the sequence parameters, recording notes from a different scale on subsequent pages, etc.
With the page loop function, it’s also a breeze to perform scale progressions.
Just my .02$ for Swedish Santa.
Totally forgot about this:
- Envelope follower option on the FX track.
Why not:
- Let FX Drive go to 111
Yes, absolutely relevant feature, damn it!!!
back into serious request:
- Please enable motion/live recording on FX track. step recording is good, but live tweaking recording on FX track would be killer. This is why we have an FX track after all… RIGHT???
thanks.
I’m sure this has been requested but please let us use the modifier tracks for MIDI sequencing. They’re already labeled “M” so it’s a win win:)
Lucid dreaming at this point:
- Remember when analog 4 had only 4 monophonic tracks, but after a clever firmware update it become 4 voice polyphonic by a clever track/voice allocation? Well, 3 analog polyphony à la A4 would be the request. Maybe they are saving this for Syntakt 2 and the A4/AR coffin nails…
A basic EQ on each voice would be grand.
some nice option from digitakt2:
filter system
kits
Chord mode similar to Digitone 2. I know the notes/scale offsets I want to play. I don’t want to futz around with the the name of the chord. The augmented/suspended nomenclature is less intuitive for those of us without significant formal training or music theory background
I wonder what the future of Syntakt is, and whether a hypothetical ST2 will follow the same timeline as the other digis. At this point it could be the case that all of our ST requests just get used in future devices, as has seemingly happened for the others. But if we only got one or two more updates for Syntakt mk1 I would still hope for these:
-
At least enough digital drum engines to cover all standard drum types (mostly cymbals and maybe something else that is more 3d a la machinedrum or ND2/3, using physical modeling)
-
maybe more pcm transient backed analog “[drum] acoustic” engines that can be shared with rytm, if that makes development for the old platform more worthwhile
-
vca compressor on overdrive page of FX track
-
envelope follower on FX track so it can be used as a second filter or more effective standalone fx processor
-
parameter slew on/off switch (crude version of slides to record smooth filter sweeps and cool things that are nice and common to have)
Syntakt beast-mode:
-chorus send effect + master compressor
-128 sequencer steps
-one shot sample playback!!!
-new wavetone machine (polyphonic please)
-comb filter
-4 midi channels instead of M tracks, with CC renaming/presets
-midi arp
couldn’t find this one via search, apologies if it’s a duplicate but:
either adding the ability to set FX track neighbor (for NEI trig conditions), or just hardwire it to track 1 or 9
having the ducking envelope’s ability to follow conditional trigs be exclusive to the only track that can’t do kick drums is just a super weird design decision
another small quality of life fix:
- when copying the pattern of a SY CHORD machine to a MIDI machine, convert the trigs to the respective chords as chosen by the machine parameters (including inversions via the balance parameter). ideally the base pitch of the SY CHORD machine would be factored in as well, quantized to the nearest semitone, but even without that the feature would be useful
I really like this idea! +1
Would make coming up with alt voicings for the SY CHORD tracks very unfussy
