This link is for a stellar mobile guitar stand. 10x better than the kickstand that guitar center will sell you.
Is that the one in Kichijoji?
Yep. Thatās the one.
Have we got any Lefties here?
Iām always interested in seeing rare lefty guitars.
Iāve been looking for a good lefty Gibson Firebird for a few years now, but theyāre really hard to come across. I found one in Chicago a few years ago but I didnāt love it; I feel like I still should have grabbed it though.
Nice! I was there in December and thought it looked familiar. They had a few bits of insane vintage gear.
His demos are generally good but my fave section here is the Poly Dry Mode. Pitch shift down into the baritone range sounds better than expected to me.
Apart from the fact that the synths are finally real pretty synths and usable in midi, the dry mode indeed also, I find that the fact of having other possible horizons with the included effects makes an all in one less partitioned in the Guit>Synth.
I donāt know if itās very clear, the sounds of the demo here suggest beautiful Space effects too.
I owned two mid 80ās RRās. A black one with Floyd Rose, and a gold one that was a string through the body model. I really miss the gold one. Had sustain for days. Also miss my Jupiter 8 - you can see the aluminum side cheeks peeking out next to me.

Wouldnāt work for me at all, but if I got rid of everything and started a setup again I like the idea of aiming to contain it to something like that. Iām more of a DIYer so would build it myself anyway. Definitely some nice stuff on etsy in this category.
Impulse guitar buy for my birthday coming up. Iāve been wanting something with a tremolo or bigsby for kind of moody surfy/rockabilly kind of tones for a long time, and have been thinking Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Gretsch, or something like a Silvertone, and ended up finding a used one of these Epiphones online for cheaper than Iāve paid for guitar pedals in the last few years. Ishibashi (big music shop here in Japan) did a complete setup on it, cleaned up the frets, and checked the neck and electronics, so hopefully it will play well.
The Andertons video below kind of sold me on it. Iām a sucker for old trashy guitar sounds, and I really like the nasally 1960s sounds Iāve heard in videos from this one.
This is the actual guitar on the way.
It got a glowing review here as well. Pretty cool deep dive. Fingers crossed
I have a Coronet with the same body shape as the Crestwood, and I really like it because itās very lightweight.
Really glad to hear that you like it! Iāve always liked old guitars Iāve seen from the 1960s with sort of similar body shapes.
A bit nerve-wracking when you havenāt played a guitar before buying it, but it just spoke to me, and I didnāt want to miss out on it.
White is also a guitar color Iāve always liked, but havenāt owned before (other than briefly having an off-white J Mascis Jazzmaster).
Vemuram guy says their new pedal was made for Japanese rock star Char.
Love seeing unusual guitar designs
Kind of went down on the rabbit hole on Epiphone Crestwoods while waiting for the new guitar to show up. I discovered something interesting about the tremolo system. The string spacings on the tremolo (ratios?) are all different, so apparently unlike a Bigsby where there is a more pronounced detuning effect as each string detunes by a separate degree, it does a more uniform detuning as you bend, which supposedly makes it closer to what you would get on a lap steel.
You can kind of hear it in this clip I found online. Reminds me of 1950s country jazz tones. Gonna have to play some Santo and Johnny Sleepwalk when it arrives.
I hear that! I just received a guitar I ordered through Reverb and was crossing my fingers it would show up in good shape ā and all went well
good luck with your purchase
Itās a Crafter SA hybrid guitar, lipstick pickup plus LR Bagg undersaddle pickup. One of the selling points for me, over other hybrid guitars, was the 3 band eq & phase control. I plan to use it for acoustic duo performances (backing up vocals, with or without percussion). I find I play with too much funk for an acoustic to sit right, and these kinds of guitars feel a lot better.
Iāve had a couple of hours to play with it and Iām really enjoying it. Neck / action arenāt amazing but the sound is good and itās lightweight
Not usually much of a fan when it comes to āmash-upā headstocks, but I kinda think that guild came up with a winner on the surfliner.
Canāt say that Iām 100% sold on the rest of the guitar, but the headstock has some pretty good lines.
Very cool!
I absolutely love my highway series fender but why couldnāt they have put a standard headstock on it!!!
