In the beginning there was Jack… But Jack didn’t have a home in Elektronauts, until today? Tried finding a thread where we post HOUSE music made by us elektronauts, and couldn’t find it.
Where are my House heads at? I know there are many of us! This is the place to post our house tunes. All kinds of House welcome: Deep, Funky, Minimal, Soulful, Tech… You name it, I love it.
Here is a little spam, there are more but even this is too much. I was just going trough folder from last ones, but this year i did allot of House type songs.
I did this DJ Sneak style track a few years back. Might have been better if it came out in 97 on a white label import from NYC!
Things used - initial track was built on Grooverider on the iPad using samples from a little known Salsoul sample CD that Avid released a few years back. The rest, can’t quite remember, I think it was mainly samples and Ableton. Not exciting. Was mastered though, was considering a few white labels just because.
Oh and this sort of minimal disco maybe? Can’t quite recall the stuff used, thought the vocals were a vocalist I got from Fiverr and the blip loop that runs throughout was from a modular. I wanted the track to sound like I Feel For You but if produced by the Chemical Brothers wearing their house hats not their breakbeat ones. Kind of did it. It got released, anyhow.
great stuff i’m new to elektron and based on all the presets and things i hear i sometimes wonder if i made the right choice for house music, this is definitely proving me right!
For this album I found myself using the Push 3 Standalone quite a bit, and would finish the tracks off in Ableton. Other hardware used on the album is the Isla S2400, Digitakt, and Sequential Rev2.
Tbh, I jam a lot and I’ve got a ton of loops and hardly ever do any proper arranging. This thread certainly is an inspiration to get off my oversized bottom and do so, though. Truth be told, I always feel a bit like an alien here, because a lot of fellow Elektronauts seem to be into Autechre recorded in 8bit to sand paper and played back on a belt drive turntable with a nail instead of a needle. So good to see some fellow house heads here.
