Yes, it is my mistake there. There are 16 notes “polyphony” for MIDI tracks also. I will update the manual today. Thanks for letting me know
Dear Mr. Eangman seem like this was omitted from the Digitone II manual:
The LST and Not LST are described in the manual but not this one.
Hmmm the Not A:B are mentioned in the manual. Or did you meen something else?
You’re right. My mistake. I was looking for a slash the way LyingDalay wrote it. It’s there, thanks.
No worries.
Just a small thing from the Digitakt 2 manual, I was trying to delete trigs as the sequencer play head progresses, so I read this part of the manual.
The first time I tried doing this, nothing happened. I wondered at first if it was a bug, but then I realized that I needed to be in live recording mode for it to work. I suggest adding the phrase “In LIVE RECORDING mode” to the start of that sentence to make it clear that it needs to be in live record mode for that to work. Interestingly the very next blurb is very clear about it in regards to deleting parameter locks.
I downloaded the OT manual from the website and read on page 20: “You can also randomize the parameter settings on a specific TRACK PARAMETER page on a Synth track.”
Having a weird day already with the OT… started looking through different screens of the OT MK1 trying to find the synth tracks.
It might be an idea to update the DT2 manual about how to upgrade DT1 projects. Check the questions and answers in this thread.
EDIT: and the reply to a recent question here:
The icons used are the ‘trig mode’ icons seen at FUNC + DOWN … but there are a couple more identified in the above thread
I’m using the latest version of the OS for my Digital OG. I’m happy that Elektron is adding new and great features with OS updates, but why doesn’t it release an additional manual that explains these new features ?
Thankfully, I can understand it roughly thanks to the YouTuber’s video explanation. I think it would be a good for the manufacturer to release instructions, but what do you guys think ?
All newer features are literally in the newer version of official manual.
Thanks for your comment.
I’m using the newest Digitakt OS 1.52, can you let me know where to find the newer manual for it ?
I can’t find it.
The release notes say the only change from 1.51 is:
List of changes from OS 1.51A to 1.52
Improvements
Added support for Overbridge 2.13.
So the 1.51 manual should be what you need, available here : Digitakt | Elektron
Thank you.
It seems that the manual in my language was outdated.
The English version has been updated as you said.
DNII Manual - 3.1 Front Panel Layout
“9. • [TRIG PARAMETERS] accesses parameters such as NOTE, VELOCITY, and other trig related parameters. The secondary function accesses the PRESET SETUP menu.”
It should be secondary function accesses the quantize menu, right?
DNII Manual - 5.2 Data Structure - 5.2.2 Patterns.
“The pattern also contains all the parameter settings for the four MIDI tracks.”
Seems this was left in from orig digitone manual since it specifically states four midi tracks.
Rytm manual, setup examples page 71 shows A4 which is nice, but … .
Adding another:
Page 41, retrig section mentions “more than four actions” which clearly don’t exist. (this is the same in MK I manual by the way.)
Which of these is correct as far as signal path goes? OB manual has AMP before FILTER, but DT2 manual is the opposite… I’d assume the OB manual is wrong.
Furthermore, I dont think the “input” and “output” points on the OB diagram are correct as when monitoring individual tracks I cant hear the compressor or master overdrive having any noticeable effect. (checked both post and pre-fader individual tracks).
I can hear panning reflected in individual outs so I assume that track audio leaves DT2 for OB from the second AMP module(referring to DT2 manual digram), before the FX sends and Mixer.
OB manual p45.
DT2 manual p15
I think the OB manual has more inconsistencies - like not always stereo paths being cared about. So I guess that DT2’s official manual is more reliable in that regard, especially with new filter types. But: nice catches!
