It might be an idea to update the DT2 manual about how to upgrade DT1 projects. Check the questions and answers in this thread.

Where is the documentation for importing DT1 projects into DT2?

I tested this with a few projects last night, and it changed some of the folder organisation of my Samples on my DT2. I have reviewed both the DT2 Manual and the most recent Transfer Manual (2022!). The only mention of importing DT1 files into DT2 is a lone short paragraph on Page 21 of the DT2 manual: ‘It is possible to import DT1 projects into DT2. However, due to changes in the device architecture, the patterns in the project might not be 100% the same in some cases.’ Not a g…

I think this is working as designed (though it’s never been explained by elektron very well) and not a bug. I know it’s come up before in the forums though. DT1 projects need to be deliberately saved to complete the conversion to DT2. EDIT:
