I’d love a way to set two channels to “stereo” mode where each track handles the L and R of one audio file, and any changes made to one can immediately affect the other like a CTRL-ALL for linked tracks. Then I could have stereo samples and stop trying to come up with a stopgap measure.
I know this is not new but…
NO ZOOM ON THE SAMPLE PAGE REALLY STARTS TO GET ANNOYING
it’s like owning a luxury car with manual windows or something
A tracker or blackout, a sample seen in the library when used in the pool.
And i really wonder why it’s only possible right after sampling. That doesn’t make any sense at all. But i’m not a programmer. Maybe there’s a reason for that.
CC labels on midi tracks would be a game changer for me. If I could assign a CC number and then have the screen display “cutoff” under that control for example. Sounds like it should be easy enough to implement?
+1
and/or chorus and/or a fake stereo effect
Now that we have song mode, a way to have “kits” - keeping track parameters synced across patterns - is even more important and would unlock so much performance capabilities!
I’m going to be submitting a feature request shortly for an idea that I have;
Pattern Groups.
Being able assign a pattern to either none or 1 of 16 (or more depending on memory constraints) pattern groups. Any grouped patterns will share parameter changes across pattern changes.
It should not be hard to implement as each pattern has to store those parameters in a table of some sort. It would be a matter of adding another field for the group. When the pattern loads, it loads the parameters matching the same group field in the table.
This wouldn’t be kits where you would need to save prepared kits and Elektron would need to find memory to be able to store the kits and dynamically update them. I think my solution would be a good way to address the problem though.
The other thing I am going to request is configurable MIDI takeover behavior. Either ‘Jump’ or ‘Takeover’. I can get bi-directional MIDI out to my controller but parameter jumping sucks ass.
Can we get the ability to send pattern mute info at all pwease? I know we can send the global (green) mutes but would be amazing if you can choose between each type or pattern mutes overriding.
Just got a digitone and would love to be able to control the tracks on one unit/song mode.
If this workflow was implemented as part of the Digitakt’s ability to sample in, it would shoot to the top of my “future gear” wish list
there’s a ton of stuff I want to get a sampler for but is stereo out, so I would have to split the samples in the daw first and then upload after, which is fine, but my next sampler I want to move away from that Model Samples-esque workflow
I use the DT mainly as a drum-box.

FR is meta parameters (AT, Breath, Pitch…).
Would make it so much easier to push a performance into a pre-planned direction.
Think of e.g. LP-cutoff on all tracks via mod-wheel. All track inputs set to the same channel while
perfoming.
Don´t recommend Ctl/All it´s not the same. Cool indeed but unpredictable at times. -
FR is Multimap
I can do this on my DN. Make key-zones with different sounds. Start patterns on keyboard
press/note-on messages.
This would make it even more usefull as a spontainous drum computer.
I’m wishing for the same! Activating the Fill via MIDI would be nice.
I’ve sent them an official request via their feature request form, make sure to do the same.
it will be nice to have filter on the input page and may be overdrive. It will be give more control for input signals.
Holy shit midi track retrig! Come on!
Possibility to group (link parameters except pan) of 2 adjacent tracks, as it would enable playback of split stereo wav files.
This shouldn’t too difficult to implement and would enlarge the sonic depth to new heights at low extra cpu power expense
Today I asked Elektron for the ability to stop the sequence on OB mode without stopping the host (DAW). I frequently want to record tails and right now you either have to have all recordings cut off, or start&stop the DT manually.
Was kinda surprised this workflow isn’t currently accounted for!
This was their response:
Thanks for the suggestion! I can assure you there’s no such thing as easy to implement when it comes to adding new functionality to Elektron devices. Allowing to stop the sequencer from the Elektron device while synced to Overbridge has never been suggested before, but if we see more requests for this we can of course look into the possibilities.
Ok, A Digtakt Feature I’d like to see is this:
Linked Modulation/ FX Track channels. (aka: mono thru machines).
explained: In the track sample slot, you would be able to select the audio out of another channel.
Essentially opening a whole new realm of modulation and fx possibilities. And the benefit that what you change on the master channel, naturally affects all connected channels.
What do you say @elektron?
@Elektron
Track probability: would it be possible to have a probability option where a trig on a track play/not play depending on another track?
Like 1st, PRE and NEI options.
Isnt that what nei does? References the track next to it (lower number only) and is true/false depending on the state of the trigs on that track.
What I am looking at is not the track next to it but any track ![]()
