The Clone War - Behringer. Good or Bad?

I think that’s part of it too. The B stuff is fine if you can get over all the “noise” of things. But eventually most people are going to want something better, something aspirational.

Isn’t everything a copy of a copy of a copy at this point? I dunno, when it comes to moral arguments about Behringer these days I’m like…

I agree.

Unless you follow your own metrics all of the time the whole premise is a moot point, or another way to look at it for me personally is that sometimes it matters to me and sometimes it doesn’t but the crux of the issue is that in each occasion the validity is the same, which means I might not be actually engaging in an phenomenon that has as much value as I perceive which in the end could or could not be unfortunate depending on the value that I set to that self revelation.
I guess in the end war is what you make it.

If the patents are expired, clones are fare game.

My problem with Behringer is the way that Corperation goes after it’s critics. Very Nasty business.

It would be cool if the people who feel the need to defend Behringer’s antics not attack those who are critical of that Corperation’s business practices.

It got so bad at Modwiggler, I no longer wanted to be part of that community as the rules there, much like here, state to address the point, not the person making the point. One person called those who were critical of B, mentally ill (I flagged that post and it stayed up). In many cases goes both ways once the attacks start.

That type of dialog is all over the internet and fortunately I haven’t seen that here yet.

I do own 4 Behringer products and feel that if those of us who consume their gear also spoke out against Behringer’s revenge tactics, that nonsense would have stopped long ago.

The vitriol never needed to happen.

Seems like Behringer is cloning the whole world… I swear, I see Behringer gear nearly everywhere online, some sort of promotion-campaign

Do you think that the handwritten “Lynn” name tag on the prototype LM drum is their idea of a joke? (As opposed to outright saying Linn)

Lynn

Or maybe it belongs to Lynn in accounting?

On my phone it looks more like Lyun. I think that’s a Chinese name. Maybe the qc person?

Yeah that clearly reads Octatrack MK3

Now the display makes more sense.
