The Best Tonverk Controller?

Can be use to update midi controllers values when you tweak from the controlled gear. It avoids values jumps when you tweak again from the controller. Bidirectional control, or “feedback”.

Can be used to record midi automation.

Can be used to control the same parameter on all tracks using the same channel, with a midi cable between midi in and out. Midi control all.

I want this for visual synth. I turn a knob and a matching layer changes.

I for one would love tonverk to send out midi cc for the midi learn feature on my Neuzeit Drop. currently when setting up the mapping on Drop i need to scroll through a thousand parameters to find the exact one i intend to control.

Also potentially bidirectional feedback would be great due to the Drop’s LED rings, but for now anyway i’m using macros like MW, AT

Yeah, it’s a lot of fun if you like creating your own layouts, and the devs are really active and responsive.

I use a drop too with my tonverk.
For mapping i use the integradet Tonverk template/presets on the drop. Still a bit scrolling but it’s pretty quick mapping.

One is Israelian and one is Japanese iirc

Same here, its a lot better since the update that splits mapping targets by category! Fantastic pairing

If I understand it correctly you can use a midicontroller with TV, but as soon as you switch patterns you get mismatches and valuejumps.

Would this be solved by controlling the macros? (pb,at,modwheel, breath)
As they keep their values when switching patterns?

I dont really see a use for a controller otherwise.
Unless ofcourse you stay within 1 pattern.

Plus one for these midi controllers. Very well made and very configurable. Maybe a bit of a learning curve, but their team is very helpful. I personally use two PBF4s to control the Tonverk:

  • The knobs control the track volumes
  • The faders control the mod wheel parameters
  • The push buttons control the breath control parameters.
