Wow, beautiful!

Is this individual notes, or prepared sample loop playing though?

So organic.

Thank you!

It’s individual notes and one of them with the chord mode j think. It’s 3 tracks with one being a piano sample and the other a synth pas and then the drum track

I was curious to see how much you could twist one sound, so took a 909 crash from the stock library and created a techno loop – kick, hi hat, stab, ambience and a synthy thing – from it. It was great fun to see how much you can twist one sound!

Not the best music or anything haha, it was more of a fun challenge. The kick was hardest and I’m not that happy with it still. I play the loop, then the individual tracks soloed, then the crash at the end.

Here’s the first thing I made with the Tonverk, which suggested to me that it’s going to be a lot of fun tp explore! It’s a piano (looped/crossfaded) and pad from the stock library, and a few other bits run through a lot of Degrader.

Slow kinda dub techno/housey thing, all stock samples. Hopping to arrange this one into a track once I tidy up a few things.

I greatly enjoy loading atmospheric samples into a SinglePlayer machine, enable RTRG on the TRIG page and have an LFO modulate SRC STRT and just keep pressing a note while manually scrubbing through the sample using the STRT parameter on the SRC page. It’s got something meditative to it and it’s fun messing around with FX and the filter.

The following has some additional modulation on the base width filter going on and has the sound drowned in some chorus, delay and reverb on the send tracks. I was also messing around with the Noise amount on the channel’s DIRTSHAPER FX. Nothing fancy and messing around with it yourself is probably more enjoyable than listening to the result is ;p

Once this is set up, loading a different sample produces all sorts of interesting results.

I also liked the other session you posted - you make this unit shine. What did you sample? Is the source all digitone? Lots of “electric” bzzz sounds in there - very pleasant.

Could you make some longer videos, showing of some transitions ? That was presumably a one pattern jam. (I understand the maschine is still somewhat fresh, but would be cool to see what it could do in this department.)

Morning grind!

Hey, thanks!

Im using my own sounds from Ableton, however there Im using Opal and Dyad a lot, by Fors, so its kinda FM, I use infiltrator a lot to make crazy effects.

Yeah I will try make longer videos now Im just playing the machine when I have a little time

But you didnt use the autosampler function yet with Abelton - export, and then jaming with it? Sorry for all the questions, getting some real world infos is quiete intresting. (I do export, and put everything into octa, its ok, but i wonder if the integration could be more fluid.)

I export it from Ableton and just using it as a harddrive and dropping it to the SD card, like Octa actually. Im making complex sounds with many effects and then resampling so its not possible to autosample/multisample that, if you mean in like this. I will try to multisample reaktor for sure

A quick single subtrack rhythm track using one of the factory presets, with semi-random routing to the four buses:

This reminds me of watching MD videos 15 years ago and not having a clue what was going on but liking what I heard and then getting in to Elektron.

Nice!
