That Syntakt Sound

That filter sounds great! Can you send the values or if you feel a little video tutorial to achieve that ob filter. Great sounds!

Video on HW def planned on the menu for my channel this year , i will not show the HW , but overbridge , all values displayed and people will have more definition on what’s going on …

Values , i save those with patchs comment on softsynth using syntakt so here it is !!

put in syntakt with Filter type 2 / freq : 77.33 , zero mode depth ----
** LFO on filter Freq : depth : 52.72 , mode free , Speed 48 , BPM 2 , Sin wave**

then you put the second lfo on pan to test , usually i use a good dose of "fade in " on pan lfo to start in center and then start movement (center if i put lfo wave synced to start on note )

do’nt forget that you can even have the drive in the equation (here very few to not be drity , i wanted that sparkles to be untouched , just controlled )

Sweet! Thank you! I will try it!

If you own Arturia opxa , tell me if ya need the patch

Very nice. Surprised by the pads / strings!!! Sequenced by Syntakt itself or more a sound module?

syntakt is like volca drum-bass-keys-beats-kick

And that Zoom

Thanks! Everything is sequenced by the Syntakt itself. Lots of 1/4X tracks to allow for the tone variations of the slower tracks (the instruments like ā€œstringsā€, ā€œhornā€ etc) while the faster arp in the second half had to use some neutral notes to fit with different chord progressions across 8 bars despite playing at 1X speed.

Guyz i’m literraly crying , today i was noodling around and made an absolute banger , save the pattern to currrent project , but seems like the project , even whe i hit save project shorcut is saved in a temporary space !!
Loaded oiverbriudge it asked what to load , instead of device , i choose plugin (yeah i was tired) and bang … i forgot to sync the plugin at some point to it loaded a blank porject .

All lost

Reloaded the project and last 3 patterns (witch are songs !!) i made laterly are gone …

WHY the F saving project doesn’t save it until you do a save ^project as ?

F !!!

Ps : if somebody can solve this … i owe him a plugin!!

Experiments with FX block and delay - gives strange underwater pulses plus boomy sounds. Rhythm and sequences are very simple. Made some edits and compression in ableton.

new favorite thing in the whole world: delay level off, delay feedback max, delay time minimum, just a trickle of delay send from FX track amp page, then just a trickle of delay page reverb send, delay self oscillates but just into reverb, play with the delay filters to squeeze an absolute banshee scream up from the background. syntakt SCREAMS.

Excellent! What kind of things are you doing with the FX track? I’m having trouble figuring ways to use it beyond ducking and/or boosting tracks.

Thanks! I’m going to be without my ST for a week now but I’ll send you the project file afterwards so you can check it out - think I’ve improved it a bit since posting this.)

I think in this pattern there isn’t anything special when it comes to the FX track

  • I definitely trigger the amp envelope to create the sidechain, the attack is around 30 i think?

  • the classic chorus workaround - some tracks are sent to the delay w/ short dly time which is then modulated with lfo1, lfo2 is rapidly modulating delay stereo width

  • I have two kicks, one just to fuck up the fx bus and the other which goes directly to main out

… that being said messing with the fx track more than this has been the most fun I’ve had with the ST - p-locking or lfo-ing rev predelay, different delay speeds, triggering the filter envelopes at random… You can create a lot of fun weirdness this way!

Use it to plock the master fx and master filter. You can also route tracks to it and exclude them from the main mix for full-wet mix. Use trigless trigs on it and plock lfo for total madness. Not using the fx track to its full potential is missing the point of the Syntakt, it“s where it“s character comes thorugh.

Currently doing a variation on that and it’s so cool sounding…gotta be super careful with the settings or say goodbye to your speakers

Awesome info, thank you!

BTW, when I’ve tried to remove tracks from the master out in settings (assuming this would make them only go through the fx block) I often notice no change at all. I know I’m doing something wrong.

Hope I’m not saying a dumb thing here (or misunderstanding you) but once you send a track to the FX block it only goes thru the FX block & you dont have to disengage it from the main (?)

A fun setting I like to use is to disengage a track from the main & full send it through reverb and delay, route rev&delay through FX block and plock/lfo the hell out of rev/dly parameters. Cant get to my ST for another few days but here’s an old example (a youtube short)

I think I’m just slow… still can’t figure out how to send a track all the way wet through the fx block. And when I attempt disengage a track from the mains via the settings menu I hear no change in sound. I’ve always been bad at internal audio routing (without wires, haha).

Anyways, I’ve been messing around with the ā€œperformance FXā€ trick. Lot O fun =)

Disengage the track, both from the mains but also go to the amp section of the track and route it out of the fx as well. Now you hear nothing. Increase the reverb. Go to audio routing and send the verb through the fx track. You should hear the verb only.
