That Syntakt Sound

:man_facepalming: I don’t know why I thought SRR BRR applied only to the noise part of SY Bits
Thanks!

Hi everybody,

I’m new on this forum ( been lurking for a while ) and i want to get more into the syntakt i own. I came from the model cycles but quickly wanted more tracks and sounds.

I took the syntakt with me on a short holiday and made a couple of jams but haven’t touched it since. I really do like the sound and workflow so hopefully participating here can help me make some more jams on it. Love what you guys are doing with it!

Here a couple of jams, maybe some eq and comp in a ableton but that’s it.

Hi @Hisstopher and welcome to the forum!

I’ve just extensively listened to all three tracks and wow :exploding_head:, these sound ACE AS F**K!! Very professionally sounding, in all ways. Composition is also excellent. All the tracks are very musical, with some nice rhythmic details and groove.

My favorite is the second one, love the compressed moving sound and the overall vibe. (Nice trick with this envelope on the bassline to simulate sidechain compression)

I’d say the Syntakt is very much your go-to-device, just keep it rolling!! :raised_hands:

Wow, thank you so much for your kind words!
Second one is also my fave ( mostly because it is not 2 ideas in one pattern haha )

These are awesome!

This is legit my favorite thread on the forum. Having listened to pretty much every jam on this post, everyone’s making the Syntakt sound like their own ish!

I need to post of few all Syntakt tracks from my last tape soon

Thank you! Yeah I’ll try to post some more jams and would love to get more experimental with the sounddesign, especially with the fx track.

Love the tracks you posted here, very inspiring.

Use random LFO at very high speed.

Cool stuff! I like the way the cymbal/shaker sounds together with the snare ( very splashy and breath like ). Good groove!

Thank you! With the different machines + FX block it is possible to do everything, although sometimes it requires a lot of precise tweaking.

that second track is unbelievable. good job

Post more! Awesome tunes coming out your box! Really enjoyed the second and third!
Cheers

Some retrospective Bigbeats. Most tracks squashed through the FX track.

Back to home base with more dub explorations.

All straight from the Syntakt.

Film score-inspired song. All sounds are straight from the Syntakt. Only the reverb/delay channel was replaced with comparable return channels in Ableton, though frankly it wasn’t really needed because it sounded great on the Syntakt itself already.

Nicely done. Some Inception era Zimmer vibes.
