So you want the transport so it starts recording at the same time as the sequences start?
I’m not sure that’s possible tbh. I don’t think midi clock transport is the same as the recording play transport.

What i initial need it when i press play on the TX-6 the OP-1F starts playing also (via BLE)
I have a video from it working and also have send that to TE. Not sure why it isn’t working anymore.
I haven’t used the usb recorder but isn’t that playhead seperate from the midi clock?
Yes it is. So i start the recording and then press play in the main menu on the TX-6. Then the OP-1F started playing via BLE.
So for this setup i only need to start/stop working from TX-6 to OP-1F. As you suggested it worked before and TE confirmed it worked. But i think they broke it in a firmware update on the TX-6 or OP-1F
Here a video of it working in the past:
I’ve done some additional testing and there is a workaround but you have to purchase a Widi master for it to work.
If you have a Widi master dongle connected to the midi din on Syntakt and OP-1 f and Syntakt connected via usb you can either recieve transport from Tx-6 or send to it.
I just tested this with OT and it works both ways… (didn’t try syncing OP-1 and OT since OT doesn’t have USB midi) but BLE transport works from TX-6 to a Widi master.
The problem comes from OP-1 since it doesnt respond to BLE Clock anymore.
I don’t know how long you’ve had the OP-1 but they removed BLE clock a couple of firmware’s ago due to it being to unstable.
And this transport seems to be gone as well…
I have it since release. But the strange thing here is on the mail the confirmed it is still working and they haven’t changed anything.
How to report this back to them?
It seems like customer services and the engineers need to sync up a bit. Because the engineers knops that it isnt working.
Yeah. So what to do now? Just email this to TE again and hope they fix it soon? I mean i need it in my setup….
They removed BLE clock due to instability. I’m not sure it will see the light of day again.
A work around is to buy a Widi master for $50 and use that with Syntakt to send transport data
I don’t need BLE clock. I only need the transport (Start/Stop)
I will look into your workaround!
Apparently it isn’t possible to only have transport and not clock… it’s a package deal so to say
Thanks for this. Will report back to TE.
I’m looking into your workaround. How does it work. Do i need to connect the widi master to the Syntakt only and connect Syntakt via usb with the OP-1? And then connect the TX-6 to the widi master via BLE to send transport?
I assume i need this for it to work? WIDI Master - Wireless MIDI Adapter via Bluetooth by CME
Yes Thats exactly it.
And Thats the dongle Im using
Perfect thanks!!
And when i want to use it to BLE connect (Start/Stop) the OP-1F with the TX-6 only? I need this cable?
You wont be able to start stop with TX-6 and OP-1 F only over BLE. The only way to do that is to sacrifice your USB.
But! I think i remeber TE stating that TX-6 can handle two USB sources/destination
So another route could be buyin a nucleum (TE approved hub) USB hub so that you can record from TX-6 and send midi data to OP-1F. BUT the problem with this set up is that you won’t be able to send midi data from OP-1F to Syntakt.
I have an old OP-Lab which I’m not using. I could try and see if I can use that to route midi data to and from TX-6 and the rest of my kit… I’ll report back once I have a moment to try it out
Thanks!! Appreciate it
How do you do midi sync with hardware devices if you’re using tx6 on iPad or iPhone?
The tx6 uses the only lightning/usb connection on an iOS device. The tx6 doesn’t have hardware midi. Bluetooth midi is bad for clock (so much so that it’s not supported on opz).
I have one right here so I’m keen to know how people have done it!
On my side I use for instance the OPZ to sync all hardware synths. It works well
