What does that do, does it select a specific scene?
Damn dude put in work making some great tracks, but yeah not everyone is gonna love everything even if they make something great with it.
It seletcs the next scene. Which is great when you set up a project like a live set.
Damn, I’m so torn on this device….
Hi folks,
Just a little heads up that I now made the OP Field Rhythm Drum Sound Pack compatible with the OPXY. This means that if you have an OPXY this pack brings you 50 Drum Kits to play with. Check it out at Teenage Engineering OP Drum Sound Pack | Field Rhythm | OP1 | OPZ | Field | OP-1 | OPXY | OP-XY | Drum Patches
If you previously purchased this Drum Sound Pack for the OP-1 Field / OP-1 / OP-Z or the complete OP-1 Field Bundle you can re-download this updated pack for free using your previous receipt and download link.
Cheers and enjoy!
Thank you!
Anybody here use an OP-XY with a Digitakt? I no longer have my Digitakt, but could really use sample slicing as I have started to get back into sampling and I want to try out some new things, like mangle loops, slice them, have them trigger at various points of the loop, reverse certain sections etc.
My only concern is the Digitakt and op-xy could be a bit over stimulating to use together, since they both have feature rich sequencers and I much prefer the OP-XY sequencer. Not sure how I feel about sequencing in two different devices, since OP-XY no matter what will be my brain. I have a Torso S4 as well, but that doesn’t slice either.
Does an OP-XY and a digitakt make sense together? I have hunted YouTube today and honestly didn’t see any videos of them working together. I should note I also have an OP1f. I haven’t really explored sample mangling with that yet, but just figured the digitakt was kind of a legend with mangling
The slicing on digitakt is kinda ridged but you can sample for like an exact bar… but yeah for more accurate slicing in DT you are just locking start points
I use Koala on an iPad for sample chopping. It works really well.
Have the bugs been ironed on this one?
Bro … just get it already
Or wait until more of the bugs have been squashed.
Is this a common bug?
Does anyone else’s Op-xy do this on a flat surface?
I might return it and get another one, but I’m not sure if they’re all built like this!
That’s pretty bad but is that surface really 100% flat? Try different surfaces. I noticed that the surface needs to be perfectly flat but it was never that extreme like in your video.
You’re right it wasn’t 100% flat! My fault!
Please convince me! I’m all ears.
Mine does unfortunately
Where do we go with feature requests?
I really dislike the way sounds are saved with patterns. I don’t think I’m asking for kits, I just wish the patterns contained trig and parameter lock type information and that sounds were stored per track. It would be great to have the option to set for each track whether the sound is saved for the track or for each pattern.
I’m about to turn 40, and thinking of getting the OP XY as a birthday splurge.
Peer pressure is invited. Do I pull the trigger? Do I wait for more bug squashing? Lay it on me.
I’ve had it since the day it came out basically, and (while I understand people’s gripes) not only have I had no real issues with it, I can confidently say it’s made about 90% of my studio equipment pointless, because it’s become the thing I reach for most of the time. I’m a songwriter/producer, for my use in creating songs it’s been everything I could want, and I have a studio filled with every elektron device ever made, most of moogs too, and the full lineup of TE’s field devices + the OP-Z, and XY still gets the majority of my time. I’m definitely going to be selling most of my other gear due, almost entirely, to this device. If you can finance it via Guitar Center or something similar so you’re not paying interest, I’m sure it’d be an even better bet — but I paid full price out of the gate and I’m not mad.
