Not sure if it can resample as the OP-1f, which is imo one of the best feature for creating cool texture
Yeah! I dig the variphrase processing.
It can resample
I explained it further up post how you could live resample your beat and start messing with it while the pattern is running.
Bit of a behind the scenes on Instagram this morning
I’m curious, are the punch in FX dynamically routed or is the chain fixed? Thanks!
Sorry I missed it and can’t find that in the user guide. Do you use tape mode for that? You can then save the resampled beat and use it chromatically or chop it like with the OP-1?
No for that you sample into one of the samplers and play it back, it can be done in real time, but you have to manually record it, there’s no record trig like on the Octatrack
And can you layer samples through resampling?
Hard agree with this sentiment! That’s exactly how it’s gone for me with photography. My poor ‘real’ camera has been gathering dust for some time now ![]()
And that’s why my lack of satisfaction with iPad/iPhone music making has been such a frustration. Because I always have one of those devices with me, and of course they are insanely capable. So close and yet so far…
I’m envious that you can tolerate working with AirPods! That would at least solve a good chunk of the battle for me (part of the I/O part). Because again, they are always with me, and I also think they sound amazing! (the AirPods Pro 2 specifically) I think there’s also a bit of a NS-10 thing with them because so many people use them. So if you can get things to sound good through them, you can count on most people hearing it the same way. I just can’t get past the latency when doing music stuff!
excellent, looking forward to checking it all out - i bet your son picked up your flow vibes!
If Two samples play at the same time then yes
I hope so to
He has a huge interest in drumming, so maybe he did
Received tracking within 24 hours of placing order.
Thanks for taking the time to answer. A couple more questions:
- How do you know on which bar you‘re on? Is there some indication via LEDs or on the screen?
- Is it possible to use a midi keyboard similar to Elektron gear: set the midi keyboard to an auto/master channel that follows the currently selected track on OP-XY, press and hold a step on the OP-XY, play a note on the midi keyboard, that note is now assigned to the step including velocity?
- Is multichannel audio out over USB (i.e. 8x stereo for each track, 1x stereo for master out, 1x stereo for external in) on the roadmap?
Thanks!
Thanks for the info, will probably be updated after the weekend I guess, more time to sell off some gear to not go bankrupt in the end. ![]()
Nice thanks for the info
You see in the arranger. And when you record a country comes up, no tactilr lights like on Elektrons sadly
Yes thats possible and after tryibg ut out u actually found a visualization bug, so thanks for that ![]()
Not that I know of, but I would love that. It is probably something they are looking into since TE has so many other multi channel audio products which it could interact with.
Would be awesome if TE moved to software, I’d pay $50 for ipad app like this for sure.
That’s pretty much why I just step sequence with that combo, thinks like Patterning 3 work great- there are a ton of really cool modular like step sequences to link in AUM with the AU Synths and some apps even have the simulated velocity sensitivity- but I think BT latency is getting better- maybe one day!
I don’t think so.
It’s #52 of its category a couple days after launch. Plus it competes with its sibling OP-1f.
Both DTII and DNII were #1 and still are…
They sold out in less than a day.
