My first multisampled instrument - very rare and unique Vermona Piano Strings keyboard a.k.a. “poor man’s” ARP Solina, it’s strings (dark fast chorus variant), in mono:
nice looping.
you could create a Vermona instrument that is C across 8 octaves. (soz know the loop setting takes a while to find the best segment, no xfade baking audio changes are setup either)
then use the builders Octave snap tool. this should create an instrument over the 6 octaves. but don;t think the root mapping is 100% yet.
Thanks! You’ve fulfilled my long time dream by creating your tool - to make a good set of my favorite samples. Now I’m busy for months I guess ))
it was on the website at the time
12 x 4 = 48 sounds
48 x 8 kit sounds = 384 sounds (polyphony reduces this alot, but they can all be triggered at any point)
In one pattern with all the fader mods and fx performance possible, that’s mad.
Quick one on the multisamples, I’ve not figured out the max number of slots yet in a sample, have you? For example, the OP-XY has 24 zones.
MDA El Piano (panned):
i’ve played safe at 8, but if there’s more available we should definitely increase.
so nice with some lpf, att and verb.
Tonite will try to make a multisampled grand, as well as variations (upright, lofi, etc.)
If it could be possible to make velocity variations as well, would be even better…
double checked this with max samples 9 10 12 16. all didn’t load as multisamples, some crashed the machine on import!
8 seems to be the max. EP quirk.
Eight samples “horizontally” are OK, if take a half-octave to divide the diapason. But put at least three levels “vertically” - that would be sooo tasty! Round-robins for drum kits, velocity for melodics… Mmm-mmm-mmm! ))
Can the EP-40 do multisamples on the same note, as you said round robin style or velocity? I don’t think so.
Examining the existing multisamples that came with the device didn’t reveal anything like that.
you can by madly tapping the - + buttons whilst playing ![]()
edit: if the + - had a cc then with some stupid midi translator you could achieve it. cycle per note. (but you’d have to be in sound page)
but none of this would record to pattern.
Ah, okay I get you now. Using the other octaves. I thought you meant it supported this natively.
I made an EP-40 video on LOP pads, which I’ve been using extensively!
Chapters:
0:00 Difference between ONE and LOP pads
1:13 Setting a pad to LOP mode
1:45 Pros and cons of LOP mode
2:55 Mute groups
3:55 Saving loops to individual patterns
5:34 Saving loops on multiple groups at once
6:30 Duplicating a pad and adjust pitch
8:55 Adjusting timing on duplicate pad
9:36 Using the time fader
10:55 Using the pitch fader
11:10 Wrapping up the mess
EP-133 release notes:
Not much… Everybody expected an “EP-133 k.o.ll-to-EP-40” conversion less 64 MB memory… Not at this time ![]()
personally, i dont think the conversion will happen. TE doesnt really do that, but it would be a neat surprise
prob saving that for a super duper field version with GBs of memory and hundreds of projects!
