Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II

po32 + po12 + the 14/16 micro drum

edit: koii is the ugliest thing ever, i shouldnt even

Just picked mine up. Fader works fine, didn’t have any issues adding the knob to the fader.

Though… pretty sure my speaker doesn’t work. Just to confirm, if headphones aren’t plugged in the speaker should just work, correct?

WHoa. Pro move! Going to go try this asap.

OMG. I thought I’d try this and just received it from Guitar Center. The power switch is hard to slide. Once it’s on, the LCD counts down from 99 to 14 and 15 and then 19 and 29…the LCD screen is screwed. I updated it and it’s still doing the same thing…I would post a pic but it’s whacked. I try and record and change the number of bars and nothing changes on the LCD screen, just glitches from 19 to 29 or 14 to 15…nothing fixes it. So bad. I mean, I’m looking at it and the screen is stuck glitching like crazy. Back in the box. I do need the money but was hoping this would be a fun device…nope.

Well damn… on one hand I should probably return it because I paid for it to all work…

On the other hand I will literally never use the speaker…

the screen isn’t screwed, it is a bad fader making the values jump around. bummer.

Ah ok…going back…money back…Digitakt!

Oh yeah if it’s between this and a digitakt id pick the digitakt.

This thing is cool but I personally bought it as a collectible

Non-real-time resampling might be possible. However, resampling to simultaneously capture external input and sequence seems impractical.

Digitakt is one thing I sold I miss.

Also I spoke too soon earlier, it looks like TE made a drop to FexEx. Need to make a run to Target to find a Lego head stat.

Digitakt is the one thing that I sold that I replaced the quickest. Sold it and a Digitone and bought an MPC Live and instantly regretted it. Had a digitakt back within 3 days lol. Also I did that and then the second LFO update was announced literally the next day after I sold it.

Sell it again so we can get some more new features.

100% Wednesday would roll around and it would get the Euclidean sequencing, and somehow they’d patch it analog drum engines into the digitakt.

The sound coming from that speaker wouldn’t impress a mouse.

It’s not the screen. It’s the fader brushes registering on the contact.

Launch day amazon buy still not shipped, today’s guitar center buy shipped already. Trying to decide if I should cancel or let both come just in case the first ends up busted.

Although not a workflow, pressing the Shift+Play button behaves the same as the MPC’s ā€œPLAY STARTā€ button. Tapping it repeatedly brings about interesting effects.

Oh dang, holding sample and then pressing and holding tempo does a BPM match, so you can play your sample over a speaker or beat box into the mic and it’ll pick up the tempo. That’s dope.
