When steels buys something new that’s of a similar form factor to something he already owns, he often then sells the other device. It’s a good policy (one in, one out), but the joke is just that if he buys the EP-133, the M8 he purchased a few months ago will probably be the first item on the chopping block. It’s not as funny when I explain the joke at length like this, but that is why the m8 (which is a tracker, and trackers read top to bottom) would make an old school sad face, top to bottom (as opposed to an emoji sad face, side to side).
No, I totally understand. If I reply to you and it’s the next reply, it doesn’t show the arrow up to your name like it would in the event you were 2 or more replies above. Confusion surrounding the most basic of jokes is the cost of doing business on the internet.
@darenager Doesn’t crash my unit, holding plus or minus, shuffling through sounds. And also works fine shuffling sounds faster, using shift and + or -.
Thanks @oktatracker I just loaded a different project and it no longer happens, but if I go back to project 1 bank D it happens again.
Another thing that WAS puzzling me is some sounds have the mute icon displayed, yet they are not in a mute group and they do not sound in sample list or when assigned to a pad. Figured this out, turning orange encoder turns them up, seems like the amp setting for the samples gets stored at sound level rather than pad level. Weird.
Hi,
I’ve been using it for roughly a month, 10y ableton user, first box and having tons of fun so far !
Happy to see resampling is coming, and hoping this will include the ability to do record loops from input while running (because this is why I first bought the box haha).
I’m currently trying to set it up with a nord drum 3P and also need the ability to chose the input channel for each ko-II pad. This way we could chose if we want the input midi to follow the current bank (keyboard like) or if we want the input midi to keep with the same bank.
The way it’s working currently make it impossible to both play together and loop the incoming midi. Let me know if i’m not clear.
While doing this, I noticed a bug
If you touch a pad with a sample loaded on ko II, then play midi with keyboard, it behave as if “key” is enabled. If I touch a pad without sample, it behaves as it should (each input midi note plays a separate pad).
Is it possible to change the level of each individual sound?
I have this beat going on but the hats are way too high, and I can’t seem to find a way to turn just the hats down (All the drums are on group A).
If I want the some of the sounds to be lower, do I need to sacrifice a whole group to use the fader on that one?
Thank you! that did the trick!
I only thought the “Sound” key was for browsing samples and couldn’t find it in the guides on the T.E-site, it is probably there somewhere but obviously not for my eyes to see!
Ay @te-david What kind of compression or magical process is going on the master behind the scenes? Like everything sounds better coming out of this little thing. Why?
