what’s more important …protecting the gear or having a bad ass limited edition vinyl packaging concept with a goated photo
I think the answer is both are important
but someone missed the memo.
There’s only 11 customer reviews of EP-133 on Thomann. Not a representative sample.
Resampling in the MPC2000XL was a bit crusher type of FX, not a resampling of the main outputs.
Maybe someone wants to create a poll for Elektronauts, to see how many received busted units over fully functional ones?
Usually people with problems make up the more vocal crowd than the ones without, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the fader issue is a smaller issue.
- I had no problems with my purchase.
- I bought an EP-133 and had issues.
- I did not buy an EP-133 but am interested in the poll results.

I think that covers it. In case you’ve never made or participated in a poll, I can’t see who voted either. No one can.
imagine a ep-133 with sd card slot + 500mb onboard storage, unlimited sampling time, effect per group, 2 master effects + master compressor, 8 groups, 16 pads, filter+overdrive+eq per pad and group, and resampling.

i accidently voted and cant take it back …nothing was wrong w mine but i said it was broke so subtract 1 ok?
Is that what you had in mind?
I voted!
We just need an EP-133 Field
I’m thinking that will be the LP-333.
i literally had no idea what the ep meant until i your post. now i get it. it’s a reference to the packaging
? did they unironically name the product after a limited edition packaging that was a major contributing factor in units being destroyed in shipping?
That’s what I sort of figured, a 10" record. Also, it’s got about enough memory/projects to crank out an EP. So I’m hoping the next one will be LP-333, or in record terms, 33 1/3.
just got my ep133 direct from TE. arrived in great shape no issues. speaker and fader all good. the keys did slightly stick at first but after playing the thing for 15min (which went by in what felt like 55 seconds) all keys were super smooth. very brief break in period is all.
i can attest the fader knob is very tight. i very slowly but surely applied force, nothing crazy but quite firm. no issues but i’m def seeing how this could cause issues. how can i tell if the fader knob is on all the way? does anyone know? i’d push a bit more if i knew it could go on more but i don’t want to risk it at this point.
it’s fully on
So far…sexy machine…it just does not click to me, may sell it quick
It definitely is. Just a simple comparison to the Digitakt shows:
Digitakt, only two 1-star ratings and no 2-star ones from a total of 361 ratings:
EP-133, already three 1-star ratings and one 2-star rating from a total of 11 ratings:
Good thing everyone can get there money back and hopefully TE fixes the issue so more people can have fun with this great little sampler. Because it’s a lot of fun to play and create on.
anyone know how long after filling in the TE rma form you get your return shipping label? 2 days of radio silence here since. [direct with teenage engineering]
