Omg…. Dream team

If you scramble up your patterns can you then create a new scene from the scrambled pattern? So if you’ve got A4/B35/C27/D9 and commit, do you then get A36/B36/C36/D36 as the new scramble-combined scene?

yup you get all new numbered patterns to use. it’s really clever. once you get it possibilities are endless. you can even duplicate a scene to get new patterns, move one of the patterns (maybe the only you want) to an older scene, then delete that new scene so it doesn’t cause clutter. the new pattern will remain in place in the scene you put it in.

I’m finding that I love having scenes change instantly instead of at the end of pattern. Flipping through scenes mid pattern can give you some really nice variations

Another thing I think is well implemented is that if you move to an earlier scene and commit it again, the later scenes just get pushed back one space. It automatically makes room for the new scene without deleting anything downstream.

The splitter is a Midi Solutions Quadra Thru… It works for all my other devices. I contacted TE and Sent them some videos. So far if I try. to do the simple connection Cuckoo demonstrates in his awesome tutorial I get nada. The only midi out I can achieve is a direct connection to an external device and only when using the keypads.

Get a small paper weight that is heavy enough to hold down buttons, easy to sample 2 handed instruments on any pad then

This is what im loving as well. Having scenes or patterns that have wildly different sonic textures and beats yields some wicked results.

I’ve got it covered with a document clip for now. Hopefully, in an effort to make up for fadergate, TE releases a quick fix to record latch and audio/midi over UsBC.

On another note, I’m really loving the sequencing. Once i figured out how to change the volume and velocity of each step it actually made me more comfortable playing things in freely, committing often. This allows you to get a massive amount of ideas out quickly while retaining the ability to go back and easily correct or add anything you need.

anyone having issues with swing not working???
I turn it uo to max an nothing. I’ve got it to work by chance by holding shift and number combos but I don’t understand whats happening.

You have to re-record your pattern with the new swing setting. That’s at least the only way I got it to work. Doesn’t apply to already recorded notes

if by re record you mean timing correction then you are right, but you definitely do not have to enter the triggers again. what you do is enter timing correction mode , set swing value, then hold the pad you want to affect as the pattern plays. you do not need to hold record. it will show a value in the screen for each trigger it updates. you can also change swing and quantization settings on the fly and it will update the triggers for wild results. note that swing only is useable when in 8 and 16 quant.

KO II’s quantization should have had a strength setting.

anyone doing ambient with the ko2?

edit an hour later: I’ll take that as a no. ah well :joy:

I’m guessing there’s more suited machines for it.

Why not just 2 sets of AAA rechargeable batteries? Battery time on this thing is flat out amazing and this way you can charge one set while you use the other…meaning no disruption, not even for charging. plus nothing has to be attached to the unit at all.
