yes! The arcade would be excellent. Like the next version of the PO-20 or PO-128. A chiptune machine like this would be an instant buy.

The holes on the side are Lego Technics compatible…

Dope… I remember using my Push 3 when I was Super Marioing a few months back and thought that was super cool with the lights… I guess I’m gonna have to go to the mushroom kingdom again and try this guy out!

So could use just one group of pads as note values like the SP 404. I"m fine with that.

This Yamaha is such a cool sampler, wish I knew more when I had one (although it had issues with the encoders unfortunately).

@MichaalHell thanks for the great answers here! Does it do polyphonic midi sequencing? If so, is there any option to do it straight from the KO?

Doing everything in my power to convince myself i don’t need this since i have a sp404 mk2 and koala :sob:

i will most likely cave in tho

It’s so close to being the hardware Koala I have always wanted. So close!

Yes and yes. You have scales on the EP.

So you chose a group, go into sound and select a pad, change that pad to midi (now it will send midi out on that pad.

Go to main and press the pad with midi out, press the keys button and start sequencing.

Whoa. Don’t even remember this conversation. Feels like it was epic, tho.

Just thinking about this more, I love a hyper focused product like this from design to function. After the first wave of Pocket OPs being pretty widely loved (then the KO, tonic and speak upping what those could do), then with the OPZ being so controversial, TE had been kind of in a weird space (modular stuff all seemed sort of DOA, jackets, ikea lights, etc).

It’s super cool that they seemed to have locked it back in focusing on the higher end field devices (which from a sound/functionality/qc standpoint seem to be universally loved by the people that actually use them) and now are diving back in to a consumer musician space with the brand kind of being reborn.

I cant wait for the EP Tonic…

When you say you have scales, is it just chromatic or can you set it to major, minor intervals etc.?
