Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II

I’ve always wondered, and maybe you’ve answered this, but how did you get to be in the TE beta group?

I’m super jealous lol.

Do the knobs come off by any chance? Would be fun if they revealed opz encoder mounts.

I bricked my OP-Z when I made a ZOIA template and I got contacted by one of the engineers when I sought help in a Facebook group

That might actually be a negative for me, being photosensitive. Would be nice if there’s a way to adjust the intensity of the lights/brightness. Didn’t see anything in the online manual.

Tge knobs come off, in fact I think they come detach. They do not have the Lego cross though

Right, that’s actually a great point!
I’ll send that remark to the beta forum.

Would brightness reduction solve the problem for you?

Oh yeah, so I see one pattern can have 12 tracks of samples or MIDI.

So that’s one track per MIDI channel?

Is a Group like a Part on the Octatrck? Sorry if you explained this already.

Ah no youre right

So yes one pattern per group. But you can have a melodic sequence on each pad. So you can have 12 melodic sequences on each group, but they populate the same pattern… does that make sense?

So yeah you could say that a group is like pattern with the exception that they run simultaneously. And each group is the same for a whole project… so if you want to change a group you have to switch project (which is super fast)

So there’s a big limitation, you can only have 4x9 groups of different samples basically.

But you have 999 sample slots which can populate tge groups and you can have 1 sample populate the same group but with different settings…

Sounds a lot more like MV-1/Zenbeats workflow with scenes rather than SP or Koala.

Of course I don’t know yet how good the build quality is gonna be, but I highly appreciate them to produce the thing in mainland Europe/Spain!

Thank you! It’s much appreciated. I can’t say with 100% certainty since I don’t have one yet to test out, but in my case I think that would definitely help.

@doug you can also change tge start and end point in the sound menu.

You cant record fader movement or punch-in FX right? Maybe in an update perhaps. I think po-33 can do that right?

Hi Michaal,

what does „world’s first super segment hybrid display“ mean?

Is it some kind of mask in front and in the back just some light source (led?).

Thank you!

I’m pretty sure you have automation recording or all the punch-in effects (apparently not true) as well as any param you can adjust with the fader

Edit: oops, wrong fader section link. Should be fixed now

Saw a video mentioning time stretching a sample to a certain bar length but didn’t show it. I’m interested in hearing / seeing what that’s like

I have too much gear I never use and havent made music in months. I lack discipline and my interest is fickle. Buying this will solve those problems, right?
