Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II

Meanwhile, and that’s a first, TS CS has answered me a third time but still do not provide a direct RMA - even tho it say it can when bought elsewhere.

What a mess.

Send a cancel request, then they ship it the day after like they did for me

Not all bugs are bad!
My Ko2 has stopped doing the stutter thing when you’re trimming your sample in sound/edit mode!
it’s so nice to turn the knob and hit the pad and hear exactly where you are in the sample.

EDIT: OK wait. so can someone confirm this. If you edit a samples trim start/end points while a beat is playing do you hear the stutter or do you hit the pad and adjust the start / end points as your listening with no stutter.

Heres the strange thing - if i trim a sample with the sequencer stopped the trim behaves with the stuttery mess BUT if i have the sequencer running it behaves as a normal trim would with no stutter. this happens with or with out a beat programed into a pattern.
I cant remember if this is how it always was or if this is just a strange bug im now having, which i actually dont mind but strange non the less.

Does it do the stutter/trigger when you adjust the amp level on a pad? I feel like mine didn’t initially but now it does and its annoying.

my amp stutters but only when a beat is not playing. this is all very strange.

I get the same behaviour. Scrubs through the sound when the sequencer is stopped, moves start/stop quietly when the sequencer is going.

To me this behaviour makes sense somewhat though, not sure if that’s a bug or a feature

thats how it always was. no stutter when editing while seq plays.
and thanks god it doesnt. one of my favorite workflow things is editing in real time with the seq running

definitely a design choice. very te thing to do.

that makes sense to me, the point of the stutter as i understand it is to take the place of visual feedback, using your ears to determine the right values. would also make sense to not have that happen when the sequencer is playing because the sound is presumably already playing? (im assuming the design decision)

Thanks!

ok word. Im not going crazy. Think i must of just got turned around but im glad its this way!

yeah this makes sense. i think with so many weird hiccups i could remember what was what for a minute. lol.

I find the stutter thing kinda annoying because it plays the sample at full volume which is often way louder than everything else. But also it’s kinda helpful.

Oh, they’ve issued me a (new) delivery date of Friday!

I won’t be changing any plans.

They gotta hurry up and enable record latch for recording samples. Can’t play shit in. That’s so basic.

Also sucks that the transfer app doesn’t work on iPhone/ipad chrome.

How hard do you think an app for transferring samples to KO2 would be @alexbuga ? Is it even possible?

If so, any chance it could be an in-app purchase for Sample Crate?:eyes: :pray:t4:

They are probably using WebMIDI and Safari does not support it.

A square :battery: works for latch sampling

That would be dope, but they use MIDI to wire those samples in and I don’t have any docs on it.
Also, Chrome for desktop supports WebMidi. Safari not… and on iOS Chrome is based on WebKit.

There’s a EU directive that will force Apple to let devs use other engines, so probably Chrome will use Chromium… => WebMidi on iOS

but we can only hope. A native app would be dope!

Yeah, I can hardly wait for the update. @te-david said that we’ll have that.
That pissed me off a lot on the OP-Z too :frowning:

For the OCD quants among us, it seems like the rate of posting has slowed down – was 2k/week in first week, now closer to 1k/week. Still crazy busy though…

Come on KOII fans – pick up the pace! :boom: :drum:
