Synths with random pattern generation

Is there some synths with random pattern generation. I heard only about DB-01. If I’m right… So this would be nice for techno improvisation.

Volca Drum (per voice/sound) and I believe the Volca Nu-bass too.

TD3, but for some reason it’s (nearly) musical. always 16 steps and in a “key”.

B missed a trick (well… several tricks in truth) here not emulating the battery dead memory wipe patterns of the 303.

…randomness in pattern and sound and modulation generation…
from totally random, to controled random, to fixed snapshots of random…
in key and beyond all keys…

for beats, for fx, for all sorts of synthesis…no final solutions in hw…but in bitwig.

I would look into Sequencers/Controllers instead of Synths. To name a few : Oxi Instruments ONE, Synthstrom Deluge or Vermona meloDICER.

Oxi one has a lot of random stuff

Anyway that would be nice to have this function inside synth.

Many Elektrons, Waldorf, and also Korgs

Was just playing with generative stuff on M8 yesterday  I went a bit overboard with it but it’s very powerful.

Korg Kronos with KARMA

Roland TB-3
Microfreak (but based on the notes you enter so it’s a random arp that keeps repeating until you enter new notes)

MPC Live/Live II/One/X/key/One +

Gotharman’s Little Deformer 3
Twisted Electrons Blastbeats

Also it’s worth to mention, even though it has no patterns because it has no sequencer (but you can make some patterns with the LFOs), the best randomize feature is on the Hydrasynth, imho.

pls elaborate about the elektrons? i know you can randomize pages, but patterns?

that said - i love the random features on the roland tb3. you can randomize notes in a pattern with one key combo and then randomize the accents, slides & ties with another one.

Sure

For Elektron you have some machines that allow different types of probability for every step, so you you can create steps and then use probability setting to randomise when it plays. It isn’t automatique, and as easy as pressing the random button, but it plays random

About randomising pages or settings, you already know that.

yes i know about the probability trigs. i was under the impression the op was asking about randomizing notes, which unfortunately doesn’t work on elektrons as far as i know.

East Beast (and probably West Pest) has tons of randomization features inside and outside of the sequencer. Sequencer has a random note generator & pattern morphing… sound engine has random waveform per note… clock has random drift per step… random voltage generator. It’s all quite fun. Sequencer can be fed to MIDI OUT also.

Not a synth, but Polyend Play. I don’t find it as inspiring as it should be though, but it’s better with drums and perhaps bass.

M+ too. Again not a synth and the randomness has always sounded unusable to my ears.
