SW DEALS : Software on Sale

I think the (very good) D16 909 plugin is on sale as well.

I don’t know whether I should thank you or curse at you for telling me this. I have very little money these days, but will do fasting for a couple of days to save in the money spent :joy: Fasting is good for you anyways, so I guess it actually is making me a healthier person.

Edit: after logging in it was 39EUR for me.

As someone who is lazy to turn on the TR-1000 in the other room Drumazon gets the job done. In my main recording room. Also whoever wrote all those presets takes live performance very seriously.

I now do 24 hour fasting and eat one meal a day and now have all this free money for gear and software because I buy 75% less groceries now.

Saw this on Synth Anatony:
Inear Display released a modern version of Danaides (sequenced sound mangler FX). The dev is 1/2 of Glitchmachines. Pay what you want. Amazing plugins IMO. Link.

Saw this on the Cakewalk forum:
United Plugins FireMaximizer is free with coupon code: SiyuFMX100

Something unexpected (but nice) just happened and it might be worth some of you having a try.

I just went to the Ableton website to look at the comparison between editions and found I was able to add Live Intro to my cart and checkout for free. I am logged in and I have a Live Lite registered which was probably from some old hardware I bought years ago. Many of us have one because they get given away so often.

It might be a glitch/bug or something but I’ve basically had a nice little upgrade for nothing. Increased track count, a few more effects and modulators, some extra sound packs. I don’t know every detail but it’s more than just track count from 8 to 16.

I was only looking at Live again because you can do feedback loops in a way that you can’t with Bitwig (tracks routed back on themselves with delays and distortions etc) and this is an area I’m exploring lately for dub, experimental sound design etc

What? Bitwig can do this with sendFX tracks or with audio receivers-taking signals from other tracks…

You’re right that I can send a send to itself, or to another send and back again.

However, what I can’t do is get two audio tracks, route one to the next, and then the second back into the first. It won’t let me do it with the track output selectors, and if I use audio receivers and route one track audio from another, then it removes the option to receive back the other way.

Also, if I route a send back to an audio track, then dial up the send on the audio track back to that send, I get an error about “feedback cycle detected”. You can do all that stuff in Live.

I know there are other ways to do feedback in Bitwig (with sends as you suggested) and with feedback networks in the Grid (which gets some mad results) but I’m just figuring out all my options in both DAWs.

FXtracks can do everything that other tracks do (except sit on the left of the screen) - they are functionally hybrid tracks that can do cross feedback.

Thanks a lot, I’ll definitely take a look into that.

Bitwig keeps on giving, that’s why I love it!

For anyone with a Novation account, they’ve pushed out a new free software offer for DataMind Audio Concatenator Mini.

The Datamind stuff has looked interesting to me for some time, but none of it is cheap. This is a nice way to get a sense of how it feels/sounds with zero risk.

Here’s a link to the offer.

Not a sale but free vst3 - Joel Eaton - Tides

I was looking for a vst similar to the morphor echon BBD resonator to stymie my gas and found Tides.

Oh nice! Thank you posting about this release.

Edit: still wish I had been able to try Osiris…

fyi if. you grab fidelity theory.
the ‘license key’ on the receipt / email isn’t what you put in the plugin to license it (where it says paste in license key)
you have to get account on modbap, register it as a software purchase … in order to then get a license file to download and activate the plugin.

They’re still making it, right? Would highly recommend, it sounds really great - although, for me the bi-fidelity thing they led with on it is the least interesting / useful part. Possibly might be better for samples though.
