Are the new Korg Plugs like Wavestate or Multi/poly any good? I have all the classics and use the hell out of them. Tons of respect to Korg for letting us simply buy the plugins and use them without needing cloud logins…etc.

I bought the Wavestation V2 VST for it’s Playstation one sound, as I would call it.

While the Wavestate Native interface looks much more inviting, it sounds very different to me.

Hearing the Wavestation for the first time was equally as friggin awesome as hearing the Roland D50, one of my fav synths I own as hardware.

While I go to the Wavestation for its vibey sound, I guess I would replicate the Wavestate Native functions with some samplers in Ableton

You can demo them via Korg Software Pass but I don’t remember the time limit. I enjoy the classics, and there is some layover between the older and newer iterations I think they are generally still distinct from each other in terms of tone. It was far easier for me to understand and navigate the newer Korg instruments in the native plugin version than it was in the hardware. UI is what I would consider just right (not too much visual overload, everything in its right place)

Been wanting this for a while due to how much I enjoy the ‘native’ plugins and wanting more classic Korg sounds (I LONGED for an M1 back in the day). Excellent.

Hope they’re as easy on the CPU as the ‘native’ plugins are on my system. They barely use anything… it’s shocking actually. Well optimized.

With the coupon I got on the ‘offers’ page: $10 per plugin.

Nice, sounds like a great deal!
I’ve been eying it for a while as well! I have the M1 vst and was able to upgrade to the complete collection with a small extra discount, really excited about the Triton

Same, I picked up the iPad version years ago for this reason.

cool! ps1 buddies! do you know if its possible to use patches you made on the iPad on the computer version?

No idea, never tried it. Don’t see why not as long as you can get into the folder on the iPad, would have thought they’d be the same format across the board… But I’m probably mistaken. :stuck_out_tongue:

The collection is $149 on Plug-in Boutique with owning one Korg product

Did you go for it…. If so what are your thoughts
Defo seems like a great option

Couldn’t find a ‘SAMPLES DEALS’ thread so I hope this is OK. Some ADSR sounds sample packs are on sale right now, for example this one.

It’s good. But not a compressor id use all the time. Really is more of a sound design option for me I think. Eventide plugins are really nice though and this one is as well.

I finally cracked and got pro l-2 since I have been mixing into a limiter for a while and have always wanted this one. It was under $100 for me on the current fabfilter sale.

Their eq is legendary but it has made me a better mixer with all of the options, like quickly looking at clashing frequencies. The presets are also incredible.
