SW DEALS : Software on Sale

This is exactly how I feel.

I upgraded to the latest Arturia FX collection 4 as it was a very inexpensive upgrade path, but I used the reverb once and it was much higher CPU and not as nice sounding as Pro R2 or Crystaline, or Super Plate so I will probably never use it again.

Soundtoys + Baby Audio + Fabfilter is basically everything you could ever need (And more TBH)

Arturia’s spring reverb is one of my favourites, seems like there’s not as many options when it comes to spring emulations or I at least don’t know about them. The Juno chorus is pretty nice but the free TAL one is probably just as good. The rest of their effects just don’t seem all that interesting or necessary to me,

Remove this if it has already been posted but UAD signature bundle for 142 $ : https://plugindiscounts.com/product/universal-audio-uad-signature-edition-crossgrade-from-any-uad-bundle/.
I didnt have any UAD plugins and i could get the bundle for that price.
3,22 $ per plugins , kinda hard to beat.

With Arturia , soundtoys and UAD i dont need anything else.

So you were able to register it and run everything? (sometimes they ask for another serial)

Its on my Ilok account but not installed yet .

From Gearspace : " confirmed that the $142.50 for the UAD Signature Bundle upgrade at PluginDiscounts works without owning a bundle.

edit - also at audiodeluxe for $150 (but giving $7.50 ‘deluxebucks’) with a free uvi synth - and Drew just confirmed that it’s legit:

Universal Audio announces Sound City Studios Plug-In & C-Suite C-Max Limiter as part of UAD v11"

Edit : I had the free UAD plugin only.

Famous last words

It’s not about having what you need. It’s the exploration and chase after the next new shiny thing

Cheers- so weird as they say ‘Special Crossgrade Offer for registered owners of any other UAD Bundle’ so you would have thought the UA Connect App would have checked or something!

Maybe because i have the Free la2a ?
Just installed the Minimoog for now (for testing purpose) and its working so. Yep that a great deal .

Audio Modeling started their Black Friday sale - https://audiomodeling.com/

Been looking at their cello plugin for a while and generally interested in their work, seem to be a high standard if you’re looking for orchestra plugins.

Looks like it:

It looks like you can still score the free LA2A plugin through plugindiscounts and they say right in the ad for the crossgrade deal that all you need to do is activate that plugin and you are eligible.

I’m not too keen on the online connection requirement but it’s a damn good deal.
Looks like I may have to pick up a ilok dongle

Do you activate it on ilok or thru UA? I’m new and clueless to this.

Both technically.
I got the LA2A plugin from Plugin Discounts (add to cart, use there FREE-LA2A promo code, purchase).
You’ll get an email with a serial and instructions including a link to the “redeem” page.
Go to UAD’s site, create/login to your account, enter the serial into the “redeem” page.
Then it will give you a link to install their plugin app (UA something…, can’t remember)
In that plugin app it will instruct you to sign into your ilok account (create one if you don’t have it)
Blamo!
I haven’t pulled the trigger on the crossgrade deal yet but probably will soon.

That plugin discounts site is unusable for me. Every page hangs loading and it’s painful to navigate.

Is it just me?

Edit- it works a lot better when I don’t use the link above and opened a new page with a new search

Just to confirm, I didn’t own a single UA Plug in (not even the free one) and this bundle downloaded, activated and is in use!

Pretty good deal imo. Would have been all over it, but I don’t really need the bundle. I want to limit my purchases, especially on non creative tools as I have enough. My music won’t get better with this bundle and my workflow won’t improve. But I’d recommend this deal for people looking for mixing tools.

I was very close to getting the UAD bundle, but the main thing I wanted is the Pultec EQs. I’ve had no issues with installing the freebies so far, aside from the weird thing where the app opens itself when you use the plugins. I was also concened with @nicobaumann pointing out crashes and technical issues - which made me much more wary about it.

But then I remembered there’s some old Softube stuff in Komplete. And I also found 2 options that are somewhat similar that are completely free. Warmy is a very very nice option for a free plugin. Simple and easy to use, somewhat inspired by a Pultec clone. Worth a look. And perhaps unsurprisingly, Analog Obsession got in on the act too.

Can confirm the audiodeluxe uad signature bundle for 150 works, bought it and cancelled my spark subscription since got all 44 spark plugins from that signature bundle now :grinning:

Appreciate you sharing Warmy. I just put that on a kick I wanted to beef up in a mix and it worked great.

Yeah, the guys over at Production Expert have it as their best Pultec Plugin ahead of the paid options, inlcuding UAD which is saying something given that it’s completely free. Worth picking up for sure!
