The god Particle is on sale for $79. I can vouch for this one personally. I know it may seem like a gimmick since it is based on an ozone preset but if used correctly it is a game changer for anyone who is pretty good at mixes, but wants to get them to the next level.
What you do is set up your master bus chain and mix through it with the limiter on. This lets you hear how your tune will sound when mastered. It has some gauges to suggest the levels of your lows mids and highs but i dont make pop/r and b so I dont really follow that to the t. What the gauges will do is help you see if you have too much low end or mids. Hell, you will hear it if you have the limiter engaged.
I typically boost the mix to around -8 lufs at the most and listen for any distortion or harshness while I mix. Been a huge help in balancing my 909 open hats and transients in general.
Best advantage of this for me is I stopped mixing through a buss compressor and now just saturate in stages with the god particle last. So if you want to get really good, balanced mixes and are prepared to spend some time learning the plugin and remixing some old tunes to get a workflow going, im super happy with the balance of my kick and bass now and how glues and warm I can get my kicks without losing definition.
I think this plugin pays for itself if you are shopping tracks to labels. If used properly your premaster will be loud in a good way, which always helps since louder is better (unless it sounds like shit, which is another topic). Then when you send to mastering, just disengage the limiter on the GP and you should have good headroom for mastering.
This plugin, good console plugs and vision 4x have been a massive gamechanger for me at least. I compared old mixes to new ones with these plugs and it was almost cringey how much better my mixes are now.
