Supercritical Redshift 6

This is serious competition for the Analog Four, if you look it from the perspective of how many and how flexible monosynths you can have in one box.

Elektron, wake up! It’s time for some good old Finland vs. Sweden rivalry on the synth arena, and it looks like you have been challenged.

Does it have a sequencer though?

I’m not religious, I believe in a creator, Jesus probably had “powers” but still just a guy… a hybrid I think. But I’m not super religious or anything… but I really don’t like the idea of having something with a “demon core” anything… besides the bad juju, it is just kinda corny too.

The front panel has a button labeled “ARP SEQ”. Probably nothing like an Elektron box though.

But I’d love to test this together with my Octatrack.

IF it does/did have a sequencer, I’d be all over this synth. Looks like something that would be an absolute killer groovebox. Tried reading the available information on this but couldn’t find anything about a sequencer. Maybe I’m just blind tho.

there’s a button ARP/SEQ, so I assume there’s something, would love to know more as well…

I hope they put the manual up in time! I’m really excited about it.

I’m pretty interested in the sounds of the Osc + those filters.

Probably no sequencer in it, just the arpeggiator. That is no deal breaker for me, quite the opposite since i rarely use the in-built sequencers anyway.

This looks like a very nice machine; very tempting. As many write, six part multi with individual outs is awesome. Well done, Finland! I also agree that this will be a more-than-good counter against the A4; in my opinion the A4 is kind of crappy, sounding thin and weak, but the little i have heard from the R6 is quite the opposite so Elektron has some serious competition here.
As a Swede myself i should support Elektron more, but damnitalltohell, we´re all Scandinavians, right? Also i have bought so many Elektron machines through the years and own 3 at the moment so whatever…

The flux filter is a very smart addition. From what i have heard, it sounds very good and fits the analog oscillators like a glove. I hope to hear some fat demos very soon!

Dammit, i wasn´t going to buy more synths! :rage:

 then there is the reducing-my-gear-in-2024 thread!!!

You know we’re all share the same passion for electronic music gear, so what
Exploring something exciting and new, listening carefully to sequences or in this case an ARP-pattern for hours twisting knobs, learning the machines sweet spot and so on…
This is how we built/wired

I’m feeling this one.

This has caught my interest. It really is an ugly duckling but the utility and interface seem sweet. This elektron-like interface with a screen, encoders and paramater pages really is a winner But this has some top-level stuff in addition Looks as if the 3 stack/detune/morph knobs can also be used as macros?

Looking forward for more info.

Yea, i think its the only product announced for this year that I’m excited for

Ugly? It looks lovely to me. It’s only a render, mind.

I think it looks fine too. I only have a few things on my GAS list for the year, but that’s one of them. And possibly the Torso S-4 and a couple pedals.

I think it’s ugly too… but looks like fun and I wouldn’t mind having that ugly little synth hanging around. Sadly, no space for another desktop. I’ll still have to get rid of two other desktops, while pretending I don’t want a Lyra 8, which is ugly in the industrial sense (but I find it a sexy beast of a synth).

I think it’s ugly in a cool way. It has character

Yeah this and Torso are my GAS heavy hitters. Got the S-4 on pre-order which has stopped me just jumping into this one, though will also give me some time to properly save for it and by the time that’s feasible there should be some decent comparisons between this and the Isla Caladan. Right now I dunno which one looks most appealing.
