looks nice in that case!!!
i definitely think i’m going to throw mine in a case eventually with maybe an FX Aid and something that will offer more modulation options.

thanks! just made the case with my dad this past weekend.
i like having it in the rack, extra modulation fun for the ds-2 was the main instigator of the rack. i really like that it has the built in speaker even more-so now that i can move the rack around easily. i have one of the myvolts step up tips coming in so i can power it all from a power bank and make it super mobile.
have you noticed that if you run the audio output from the “main” instead of headphone out that the onboard speaker remains active? this was a pleasant surprise to me this weekend when I was messing with it on my bed (see video above) while it was plugged into a little Bose speaker i use for my synths when I don’t want to bother my upstairs neighbors with actual monitors.
i noted a subtle stereo effect that was quite nice!
Stackable cables? What is this sorcery?! I had no idea those existed. Noted!
yuuup they duplicate the signal, im excited to start confusing myself with all the signal directions
i havent tried a lil homegrown stereo, that does sound nice. ill have to give that a go the next time im using a portable speaker
finished building the looping ADSR envelope module from AI Synthesis, got it controlling the filters and im using the ellitone keycontrol to send pitch and gate. stumbled across this cool sound, recorded via phone mic unfortunately
Very much banana cable inspired and possibly one of the best things ever for modular, alongside those 6-way headphone splitters that work as 0HP passive mults.
I’d be tempted to rack a DS-2 as and when I actually get one.
more fun with the racked ds-2! put a lil tt-78 drum beat on it, thinking i want some midi integration on the rack, gonna have to peek around for some trs midi modules.
been pulling some really weird sounds out of the racked ds-2 tonight! ive got both oscillators FMing each other, going through a mixer and a filter and back into the aux input. then i have an envelope generator modulating some stuff. got some very cool tapping wood sounds, weird grinding in the low frequencies, fun sounds!
OXI One matricial sequencer into DS-2 pitch into Lyra 8 EXT IN (I love that noisy delay) into Black Hole.
Recorded straight from mixer into 1010 blackbox.
I would like to share my new album composed with CPM DS-2 among other software and bits of hardware.
It was mostly recorded in real time then edited, mixed and so forth.
@jkbb that was completely mesmerising - a delicately balanced, beautiful piece! Thanks so much for sharing it.
Was it all one take?
Thanks! I am glad you like it
Yes, it was all recorded in a single take. A bit of mastering in Bitwig afterwards, but I honestly don’t know what I’m doing when it comes to mastering.
Cool, thanks for confirming it. Eventide Blackhole or the Symmetry? Both lush pedals in their own way.
Eventide Blackhole.
Just picked one of these up. Can’t wait to get into it. Also looking forward to their upcoming filter module to turn it into a proper monosynth.
Usually I don’t make comments on gear with out experience, but everything I’ve heard so far makes me thing that this has that sound of analog that hooked me when I was a kid.
I just picked one up as well. What power supply are y’all using?
I used my DTII power supply.
Wow. Absolutely understand now, get lost, discovering pulses, textures. I actually love the delay and reverb. Perfect for some dub. I wonder: any high quality replacement knobs? Feels solid but indeed it’s a lot of plastic.
