did you get the P6 yet, would love a comparison of the two by you
I’ve got no plans to get one anytime soon. If they update it so you can transfer whole projects to and from the computer, I’ll probably pick one up eventually. Otherwise nah.
a tale of user error: I was havin issues with my LPF. turns out I was using ASR on my filter env rather than AR. have proper control of it now.
crisis averted >_<
I thought you might’ve meant the new shelf filters, found my self doing some extreme settings to hear impact with those. They might be more suited to adding depth movement and flavour to drum hits.
is there no way to shift a sequence left & right like on elektrons? [func&arrow keys]
there’s a few no brainer elektron features lacking. We are spoilt
aren’t we just
Yeah, trig preview is top of my list there. I don’t know how big of an issue it would have been if I came straight from the Model: Samples to this, since that feature is missing there. But I’ve been mainly using a Digitakt for years now and it feels like a glaring omission. The okay button is right there.
sequencing slices is a bit fiddly, having to press the desired step, then select the slice to place. Tiz a bit clunky.
it’d be cool if they add a few more sequencing options for slices. maybe 101 style could work.
random note entry (ala M8) would be cool too. n re-randomise (shuffle) entered steps.
That’s only if you’ve got record on. If you don’t then you can just hold a note and press the step.
What’s clunky is the fact that aside from playing your thing in live, the only way you can enter a note length is if you’ve got record on. That seems like something that should be in that little step menu.
ahh Nice one Doug, that’s much better
really appreciate that bit of knowledge.
You can manually do it. Press the start and the end. Which record mode it is I can’t remember if this is right.
You can even enter a long note. Make sure you track is longer than 16 steps in the CFG screen, enter Pad mode, turn on record, select a step, press and hold a pad\key, then press Func+Page button to the next page, select the end step and release the pad\key.
I was about to say the same. You need to hold the note first (mind the velocity), then pres and hold the start step, and then pres the end step. If you wanna have a 4 bar length note… just fill 1 bar and set the speed to 1/4 of that track.
I know. That’s what I was saying. I think that this is a bad and dumb way to do things. It’s easier to sequence chops with record off. But you can’t enter note length with record off. And you can’t edit note length at all once your note is in the sequencer. That’s why I think we should just be able to edit note length in the note edit menu.
“The Mix Tape can record up to 3 hours of audio in 48kHz/16bit stereo WAV files”
I’ve currently got XT end of chain and am just wishing and hoping one day it will allow its EXT ins direct to the mixtape with its choice of cassette emulations.
that’d be amazin
If you enable monitoring the inputs, doesn’t it print out on that mix file EVERYTHING you’re hearing?
Will have to try. But it should. Maybe it’s a CPU limit.
Please try, I’d love to know if there’s a work around someone finds.
The inputs can be sent to the del/rev (which I do think are printed to tape) so I tried to be clever with a 0 delay time send to bypass but it didn’t work out right.
Also processing the ins through the mfx compressor would be so great. And the inputs being an option for the side chain.
Dreams. (Can come true).
Last time I tried it wouldn’t work, I have barely touched mine since getting it though, been using Livens/Airas most lately, but looking forward to using XT and Smpltrek again soon.
Don’t forget to send in those requests to Sonicware support, they are very receptive to ideas.
yea theyre really responsive. replied to me the same day saying thanks for the ideas and all. Real nice
