For the bass, it was recorded with a fender precision straight through a custom-made Mezzabarba M-Zero Ovedrive bass amp connected to a vintage Marshall cab if i remember well.

Whoa very cool to see there’s a thread for this. Yeah, yeah…writing electronic music is all well and good, but sometimes you just gotta get the rock out.

This track started with a bass riff, then I threw some guitar over it and it wrote itself from there. It’s astonishing how good amp sims sound these days; they’ve come a long ways over the past decade.

The vocals are myself harmonized with AI…you’ll hear the AI in the backing vox and the bridge. It’s really insane what AI is capable of these days; I transformed my voice into something that sounds like a soulful black woman.

This april I released a rock album. I´m a guitarist at heart, so this was so much fun!
Take a listen if you want. I´m playing the instruments and singing the songs, but my friend Kåre is playing some Wurlitzer and Rhodes + samples on here. Enjoy!

I just released my first rock album in…fifteen years? Also, I consolidated all my various musical projects, with different people, onto one big “label” page.

For the curious: I think all the synths on this are either hardware or software Korg MS-20s…vocals through Heil PR40…hand percussion is all recorded live but the drums are SD3, some played on MPC pads, others replaced from acoustic drum tracks. Guitars are mostly through Helix hardware and software, often using AH+FX as a distortion pedal. Here’s a sample track!
