Welcome.

AR MKI user, I’d be interested in recording with an Iphone and Zoom Iq6, edit precisely and send to AR via usb. Possible?
I don’t have an Iphone, my Android smartphone is dying. An Iphone 6 would suffice?

Hi, do you want to pick up files recorded on zoom from iPhone storage and load to sampler for editing? yes its possible, iPhone 6 should work, in terms of editing I plan crop, cut, copy, paste, change selection start and end points, are there any other editing capabilities you are thinking about?

Normalize and sample/bit rate options would be great. The former I have found to be essential for mixing internally.

Good luck! Would be great to have a fresh app for this.

SDS drop had a wicked cool capability that allowed you to extract audio info from any file like photos, URLs, and other non-audio files. I have no idea how it worked but if you could accomplish the same thing I would insta-buy

Sounds cool, what would be practical uses of that feature?

To creat sounds similar to this

“Databending is the process of manipulating digital information meant for one format, like a .jpg image file, within the context of another file format - in this case, .WAV audio. You can think of this as a digital version of circuit bending (when toys and keyboards are purposefully short circuited to produce spontaneous sounds).“

Glitchy, unique sound samples. I was able to get some amazing percussion samples out of it. I’ll dig through my stuff and try and find one to demonstrate.
It was a blast taking personal photos of people or things I love and getting a unique, 1-20 second random-sounding audio file. It would be a blend of noise, drum-type sounds and even funky synth-waves.
The only reason I updated my OS which killed SDS drop was to get the dualVCO.

definitely sounds like an interesting extra feature, thanks for your suggestion!

Any movement on this? I’m not the only one who is ready to instantly buy an iPhone sample transfer app. Forget the extras, as long as it can do the main thing!!

Hey man, I’m assuming you’re doing some custom conversion of files to sysex format which matches the structure of the elektrons?
Have you got a core library worked out for translating this seperate from the app itself?
Wondering if the same thing could be applied to a similar app for android?

Alternatively, do you have plans to release on android too?
Cheers

Hey, I do have plans to release an Android app

Hey everyone, V1.8 of Transfer - Samples is in the app store, it includes FX section, USB recording and saving of files locally. If you experience crashes or any problems with file transfer I urge you to contact me on Facebook or via email, there are some edge cases that I would really like to resolve.
