^ That said it seems the way trig conditions and fills are set up in an “absolute” way instead of musically logical.
Let’s say you want to trigger a snare only on the 4th bar, it works fine if you don’t launch a fill. If you do want to do a fill instead of the 4th bar every now and then, the snare will play on the bar after the fill… my timing OCD can’t deal with that and makes trig conditions basically useless!
same
but dont forget you can use morph on the mix control for tracks 1-4
if you dont have layer 2 sequences for instance, you can get the morph to “turn the volume down”
but totally agree, would love to just have the volume sliders included
About to report another one. The filemanager lets you import samples, label, edit and save them but not assign to a track. Filename is either blank or weird when you look it up via gen->user sample to assign.
Anyone using snapshots for anything other than course tune? I honestly can’t see me using it for much else. By the time you’ve programmed in all the motion data you might as well live recorded it into the pattern. Or am I missing some special tricks?
Would be good if you could also momentarily hold down a snapshot to make all parameters jump to the set positions, a bit like the Morph slider but an instant jump. Like the Animate buttons on the Novation Peak. Edit: Actually it seems you can use it like this!
just for the record, i got flagged posting a video about a new clocksync device people where interested further up. its the best but most expensive solution so far imo for people looking for a sync solution for the tr-1000
If you use the TR-1000’s sequencer, you would never encounter the same issues. Apparently, there can be some timing issues when triggering it with another sequencer I guess. I don’t know since I’ve never tried. I really like using the subdivisions and weak beats on the TR-1000’s sequencer.
I was hoping this meant rolls are quantised so it only plays on the beat when triggered. Unfortunately not
My sloppy timing means my rolls are always triggered slightly early or late so drums play off beat and it sounds awful. I’ve been avoiding playing rolls live for this reason.
Nice to see Roland are actively addressing the bugs though, anything that reduces the freezing and general stability should be priority at this stage.
