Reading the manual, you don’t have to assign first you can hold a step and use C1/C6 to map the parameter that’s on screen.

edit: maybe it helps to not use the same terminology as for the elektron device threads. and explain what it is for in the 1st post. would really love to see a thread where users share their view, maybe show some tracks. i wont have one for a while so that would be very interesting for me.

Still too early imho. Gonna end up still being full of people who don’t own one asking questions about whether to buy one. Happened with Move when they set up the user thread more or less immediately, wouldn’t expect this to be different. Definitely needed, but I’d say middle of next week at the earliest will be time enough. Just my 2c though.

It was just crazy to try and communicate with other owners on day 1, the focus was on price and availability, so I thought I would give it a try, but yeah, there is no way to verify that only owners participate in these threads…

I thought drums were meant to be monophonic as it easier to mix them. It is afterall a drum machine.
It’s not monophonic in the sense of 1 channel audio. The sequencer is monophonic

Imagine you’re performing or jamming in a dark room with lights bouncing around making it difficult to see what you’re doing or maybe you’re outside and the sun shines directly onto your gear, making all the labels vanish completely, the last four faders being offset will make it easier to locate all the tracks and tell which knobs belong to which track.
Maybe that’s one of the features suggested by the artists who tested the TR-1000 and provided feedback throughout the development, but either way, it’s one of those little details that show that a lot of testing has taken place.

Speaking from my experience it’s always good to let some gear go. Unless it’s a device that i already use a lot and can’t buy again easily.
