I thought that too but I’ve never owned a black ot mk2, does it have that little line on it where the light comes through?
this one is the ot mk2 in black.
picture doesn’t look as though it does.
edit: not ot mk2, you can see it says func

You’d be forgiven for thinking the normal buttons and shift functions were reversed on that Digitakt
Never owned a black OT either and never dug as deep, haha. So maybe it’s a custom made one. Or [conspiracy mode on], it’s actually part of a long term tease of the next Elektron machine that does something where fct would be misleading and a backlit line is more appropriate .
Octatrack MKIII !!!
Basically confirmed!
So it’s an inverted A4 MK II white key button?
Not inverted as such, just as is, the transparency shines white when lit, it’s contrasting more obviously whilst off
It’s a good swap for a fn across digi devices imho
I have it on good authority that when you replace the digitakt FUNC button with an A4 MKII key you unlock an extra LFO hidden somewhere deep in a submenu
Aggghh. He just makes me want a DT again lol.
Does that work for the Rytm as well?
On the Rytm it just makes Retrig button more redundant somehow.
Have you thought about an Octatrack?
I won’t lie. I did look at the one in the sales section
Of course you did.
I really like the Octatrack but still need to spend more time with it.
BTW, how does his Eventide Power Max manage to power his Octatrack? The Eventide can supply 500mA @ 12 V DC but the Octatrack requires four times that. At least that’s what the manual states (and that of the A4, AR, etc.).
I guess a coupler cable, pulling from two ports would give it enough?
