Hello, being unable to spend 300-400€ for a polysynth at the moments im getting very interested with the Retrokit-002.
My main question is : in midi loopback mode, can you simultaneously edit each voice sound’s parameters from the base channel only ? Like just tweaking the cutoff, adding SSR, sending more chorus, etc, as if it was one synth, instead of having to copy paste parameters to each voice allocated track ?
Yes indeed but if it was already implemented/optimized with the Retrokit-002 for polyphony i wouldn’t have to mess with ctrl-all and ctrl-all settings and still benefit of live tweaking AND ctrl-all
If you have an iPhone or iPad, this app should do the same that an rk002 would:
I’m not suggesting it as a replacement, but to try this method out and see if you’d be happy with it.
I’ve used this method with an rk006 (same poly feature as the rk002 built in). I can vouch that it’s an okay poly replacement. Personally, with a Digitakt, though, I’d rather sample a chord to a single track. Or check out the single cycle chord pack: Cycle Chord Pack for Sampler
No affiliation, I just own and have used it with success. There’s also a thread on it: Cycle Chord Pack
Unfortunately i don’t have any ipad or iphone, but thanks for the suggestion, ipads seems to be such a cheap way to have access to a lot of otherwise extensive hardwares.
And i agree for the single track things, ultimately i will have to go for resampling, but i already do that with extermnal sequecing VSTs, which breaks my workflow when I’m Digitakt focused, ans i crave messing around with chords live and direct sound design of melodic elements so that’s a selling point to me.
