I posted this on the Ableton forum but thought that maybe I’d have more luck here.
Maybe I’m being dumb and missing something really obvious, but could someone tell me how to set the global quantisation amount directly on Push 3 standalone?
I can’t seem to find it in the manual, or by searching on the forum, or even on Google.
To be more specific. I mean the quantisation menu, (the one that’s to the right of the metronome in the desktop software) I am trying to change the global launch quantisation
I believe this is something they’ve added to the Push 3 Stand-alone Public Beta (which I just installed yesterday).
It’s accessible by holding the metronome button, and then you can change the global launch using the 5th encoder.
If you’re on the regular release and it doesn’t come up when holding the metronome button, then it’s a work in progress to add it (or you could join the public beta).
I know you didn’t ask me, but hey, I’m human, I have opinions too you know.
I have a few hours on the beta, and so far mostly good. I found a bug, which I have reported, with the melodic +32 split sequencer. But besides that, so far so good.
Also, I haven’t tested it, but it looks like they fixed the bug you mentioned, about deleting a pack and free space not showing up. I think I saw that in the notes.
And if you don’t like the beta for whatever reason, you can switch back by downloading and installing the original firmware.
I just finished my taxes, like a human would do. Who wants to drink a Cosmo in a Manhattan nightclub like we all do frequently as humans? Rebooting…I mean, reordering a round for us all.
Because some of the Ableton mods are a bit precious and banned a few that used to help a lot, myself included. (reason because I reported a few spamming posts they didnt like it as caused extra work for them) So I don’t visit there at all now.
Much more helpful around other places, here included.
I haven’t - I am still waiting for a replacement unit
It makes it less standalone, but something that delivers phantom power inline would fix the gain make up. In the far future I would like to try switching to an RE20 as my main dynamic mic.
Does standalone require a computer for anything? Can firmware updates be performed via Wi-Fi? Could I hook an external hard drive to import/export files? Thanks.
