Let us know how it goes with SA.
Mixface uses Mackie control afaik and so far it looks like only controllers with direct ableton support (those listed in live on computer) work out of the box.
I’m in the same boat with my EC4 and xtouch mini…
Special tool or manually mapping the samples?
Used a 3rd party app called KitMaker:
Will do. Just moved so my set up is still in the torturous set up and cabling phase, I’m even more curious now with that Mackie info.
Going to bed to investigate this!
Got a slew of expansions with Komplete that I never use but having them ready on Standalone sounds great
I played a gig this summer just after release in July (balsy move) with just a Push 3 and a 7u modular. Zero crashes!
Also, as a previous Force user, I think the Push is on another level. It’s really great IMO and will only get better over time.
Anyone worked out how to use the cue functionality on push standalone?
I can see I can route audio outputs 3/4 separately to headphones, and that there’s a cue level control.
I engaged the cue/solo button on the desktop version of the set before moving things over, I thought maybe the solo buttons would act as cue buttons?
I take this back! It seems that the first time I connected my MioXL to the P3, it pulled all the port names from the Mio. However, after changing the names in Auracle, the new names/assignments are ignored. Anyone know of a way to force Push to reacquire these port names?
On a Windows pc, you need to remove the ports in Device Manager and then restart the mioXL/XM. It will then add the missing ports with the new names.
I have no idea if this is possible on the Push, as you don’t have direct access to the OS (which is Linux?) and I also have no experience with Linux whatsoever.
I don’t have the push with me but you need also to route the master channel. Press the master button, and go to in/outs on mixer screen and you should find an option to route the cue to 3/4. I have my P3 setup this way, for performance.
Bad news.
I cut two holes for the knobs in the inside padding. It doesn’t look pretty, but it works.
It’s a tight fit, so get one of the new cases, if you don’t mind paying a little more. I only got the P2 case because the P3 case wasn’t out yet, and I had shows to play.
Thank you!
Thx
If it fits it fits…
The 3 version costs 68€, so more than double 🫤
Where did you find it? It looks like it is out of stock everywhere and not produced anymore…
I bought it second hand.
You seem to be right, sadly, it looks like Akai has stopped production.
Here in where I live (GER) some shops still have remaining stock, but at outrageous prices.
Since the product was on the market for almost 10 years, it should be possible to get a second hand unit without any problems, depending on the region you are in of course.
I am in France. It looks like the apc 40 is very popular here so very hard to find even second hand…
And I don’t want to drop 2k in this cool apc copy
Haha, yeah I am aware of this, following what Yaeltex does for quite some while
since I saw someone performing live in Berlin with a Yaeltex Midi Controller and a Syntakt.
*Edit: iirc this was the model being used: Mixtakt - MIDI mixer for Syntakt - by Leo Mendez and Yaeltex
That’s where I found out that they make custom orders, I think they are worth the money but not cheap ofc + to get one in from Argentinia
Quality (custom) stuff always costs. I always argue that you should pay more for quality, but of course you have to be able to spend the money.
Maybe try ebay since you are in Europe only shipping will be a bit higher when you buy an apc 40 mk2 from a neighbouring eu country.
That last video made me wonder if you can hook a Push 2 up to a Push 3S?
Update: just tried. No cigar.
