Push 3 Users Thread

Has anyone tried using Live remote scripts standalone? I’ve got a Faderfox UC4 ready to go and would love to use it with its proper Live integration.

Just received mine, besides the buggy starting message that an unsaved project existed the hardware seems fine. Jogwheels work, Headphone jack output does not hiss. Did a Firmware reset, went through the welcome menu and updated the firmware. Connecting to the laptop via controller mode and back to standalone worked without a flaw with the included usb-c cable.

Before I ran the initial updates the device seemed sluggish tho.
After the updates this behavior disappeared. Will start installing packs and testing further.

I turned it on for that reason.

Anyone from the US still waiting for a standalone? Seems the rest of the world is getting them shipped very quickly, but I ordered a week ago.

To be fair Ableton were very good at providing documentation in this respect for the Push 2, even including how to access the screen. I expect the implementation for the Push 3 is similar.

yes, but ios…this is all manually done from scratch and typed all out. at least computer scripts you can copy paste from other users works.
theres plenty of documentation out there for everything, its just time consuming.

my launchpad pro script to enable and use session mode in apps, get it to receive midi feedback from apps that end it, etc… was about 3000 mozaic lines

I’m in the US (Southeast). I ordered first day (Tue) and received mine on Fri. It shipped out of Nashville.

is there any autosampler that works for ableton, that works quickly?

I ordered Tuesday as well, late in the day. I’m in Atlanta.

Same here - I am a couple of states north of @pmags and my experience was identical.

I ordered at 9:56 am. :grimacing:

About the same time here. Ordered at ~9:20am. So maybe the twelve hours or so made a difference in which batch your order went out in.

@Daspetal – I assume your Ableton account still reads “Processing”?

Yes, reads processing. I have no problem with a delay… i just wish they’d respond to my question after 7 days, as they don’t seem to provide much clarity over the process.

I’m in San Francisco - ordered at 10:30am on launch day and it just shipped today. It will arrive Saturday (the day after I leave to head to Sweden :sob: :call_me_hand:)

I think I ordered when you did. Nothing on my end either yet but thats ok because I am hoping they are ironing some software bugs while we wait. I’d rather have mine show up with a new firmware.

I’m pretty sure they are bombed with orders and bugs now so will be slow to respond for a bit. I am not super excited about Abletons QC at all, it really sounds like they rushed this out.

That said I bought a Push 2 about 3 years after it’s release and some of the pads on mine didn’t function. Ableton support walked me through a test, verified it was not working and then sent me a brand new one. It showed up in like a day two.

So the customer experience I have had with Ableton has been good. This roll out sounds pretty dodgy in terms of QC but I suspect once they get a handle on all the tickets being opened, they will support their customers well.

It will show up soon enough I’m sure. The one thing I’m not concerned with in regards to Ableton, unlike Akai and NI, is supporting the product. That said, even Akai stepped it up over time. I have no concerns with Ableton. If the product arrives faulty they’ll get it right. I just wish they’d respond to emails, lol.

In the spirit of getting bugs fixed ASAP, I too turned on the “spy on me” button (sends stats & reports) under settings.

I also noticed under the Software > Advanced option there was a way to download crash reports locally. As you would expect, zip files with lots of logs and config info. There’s one file Indexer.txt that seems to report the details I’d expect to see by invoking dmesg in a Linux terminal session.

Here’s the first few lines of one of these Indexer.txt files with some basic info about the system. Nothing we didn’t know already, other than it’s running a 5.15 kernel:

Next step is extract the firmware for us??? :upside_down_face::stuck_out_tongue::upside_down_face::stuck_out_tongue::upside_down_face::slightly_smiling_face:

This might help. You have to open up the chain for each pad and change the note in there. A pain, but once it’s done you can save it as a preset.

Push Song Mode M4L!

Have been fixing bugs the last few days. Think it’s in a state to release tomorrow. Very simple - you have 32 parts. Select a part then choose a scene to play, the length of the scene (or just the longest clip length), number of repeats and an optional label. You can then start playing the full song from any part/scrub through the song quickly.

When you’re done, there is an “export to arrangement” feature that will write out your scenes and lengths to the arrangement view for fine tuning, transitions, automations etc on a computer.

Should work with push 1, 2, 3. Standalone or controller.

Will finish the product page and post it asap tomorrow. Would love feedback!
