Pro VS Mini from Behringer

Makes perfect sense to keep it.

:joy: I mean it’s really an inexpensive synth so I’d just keep it and explore it at some point. I went to a Guitar Center to see how much they are paying. They offered $30.

dude…just bought one used and please tell me I’m wrong but I called Thomann and they confirmed it…the Pro VS Midi has Mono Output. Even with the new FW 2.0. The Reverb…the Chorus…the Ensemble FX…all you get out of the Headphone Jack is a Mono Signal. I checked 2 Headphones, 4 Cables…and my Oscilloscope only showing a fkn line…dude…reverb…chorus…and Thomann Support was like: yeah if you think about it, all synths are mono!..dude…

It started life as a mono so it’s a hardware limitation. No firmware updates will change that so the new FX are just a bonus

An excellent synthesizer with its own character. As usual, terrible presets but that’s not surprising)
the controls are not the most convenient…it’s especially annoying that there is no direct access to Filter ENV and memory for only 32 presets.

I was a little surprised that the output is mono, but I don’t see a problem with that.

I’ve always been skeptical about hybrid synths and bought it without expectations but I must say that this synthesizer has its own unique palette.

in short, I recommend it!
don’t draw conclusions based on presets. Some mediocre person programmed them

Has anyone found the output on this synth to be very quiet when compared to something like a Roland S1? I’ve got a handful of other synths I’ve compared with and on average the output seems to be at about 50% of the rest of my gear.

Wouldn’t be a problem if I weren’t daisy chaining the signal into my S1 then into Digitakt and if I didn’t gave my other input already occupied. Even adjusting the input and lowering the S1 volume I still cannot get it loud enough to sit well in my mix.

Saw one other reddit post about output volume but no answers really! Sounds decent and would hate to have to resample to use it effectively.

in my case Pro vs quieter than pro-1 but I don’t see any problems with adjusting levels and recording into DT 1…

what kind of cable/adapter do you use for Pro vs out?

So its a mono 3.5mm output on the VS, I have that daisy chained into two roland S1s then into Digitakt II left channel with a mono 3.5 to 1/4.

Even when skipping the S1 daisy chain and feeding straight into Digitakt, maxed out input volume and max volume on Pro VS Mini, it just seems to sit real quiet in the mix.

For reference, S1 in particular has to sit at about 40% volume to sound match levels with the VS at 100% volume. Midi Velocity is also at 127.

So weird, should probably have a proper mix in the setup to boost that channel but not tryna buy more gear, kinda dumb to need one anyway just because the thing is quiet.

in your case i would match levels (100%Vs and 40% S1) and then boost it on Dt2 ins (at 125-127) and than match Dt2 ins with other Dt2 tracks…

or…something like this before DT2

The manual doesnā€˜t say anything about this: can i record chords into the sequencer?

And is the joystick position saved with a patch or you always have toā€œprogramā€œ the vector envelope?
