What, you didn’t negotiate a 21% pay increase this year?

Currently 600 pounds at Andertons, which translates to 700€. 645 pounds at dv247, which is a UK company right?
I bought mine new for 500 euros 3-4 years ago. It was a back friday sale, though.
It was originally (digital village) but now i think it’s part of a larger European company (music store)
It still has a UK Store in Romford, but many items ship from Europe.
Prices have fluctuated over the last 3/4 years, but the £599 cost of a Digitakt at Andertons has been steady for 10 months now.
Not saying it won’t go up in the very near future, but i was a little surprised to still see it at £599 after all the discussion about price hikes.
It evens out, as that’s a bit more than what they asked for it inside the EU pre-hike. Wouldn’t surprise me to see a price hike in the UK when they run out of current stock.
Yes i think you’re right.
I feel for you sorely on this one hugs
My wife and I struggled for months on end almost 4 years ago trying to buy a house. Believe it or not things were starting to get out of hand even then.
We made a big decision to move 400 miles away so we could make it happen (San Diego to Phoenix).
We had to fight others and ended up paying more than we planned. In our last ditch effort we couldn’t offer more than they were asking and luckily nobody else could either. The owners chose us because they liked us.
Now our house value has increased almost double what we paid for it. There’s no way we’d be able to buy our house now.
Point is, I know that feeling and I know how much worse it is now. So sorry. Make sure you are willing to be flexible and really bend the idea of what you want/need. You might still be able to make something happen.
Yes, we had similar stuff occur in the Seattle area and want our younger friends to have the same option. We were able to afford the down-payments through 401k loans but geeeeez we would not want to pay double the price of our home for what we got, nor likely could we.
Everything will go up, every Elektron box! It’s unavoidable!
Oh, I just thought they were a bunch of pricks.
Well yeah, that too.
Thank you
We hopefully have something that has worked out good for us, just putting in the mortgage transfer this week so hopefully goes ok.
A house went back on the market after a sale fell through and was through the agent we were selling ours through. Was in his interest for us to buy as means could complete our sale so he took us first to see it and we said we will give the asking price if they close the deal that day and they said yes. Were in a hurry to sell as it was her mothers house who either passed away or moved to a home. There is work to do but we got it around 50k under our budget so happy to get the updating done. We are extremely lucky as houses in that street were all going well over our budget and around 30% over asking price.
Congrats
House renovation sucks but not as bad as no house at all.
Hope it all works out!
Ours was our first house so it felt extremely dire. Like if we don’t do this now we’ll be renting for the rest of our lives. Which is how many people feel right now I’m sure.
Its almost like the people calling it out back in 2008(and before) were right about money printing and artificial interest rates… who would’ve thought you couldnt print your way to prosperity .lol
We aint seen nothing yet, unfortunately.
Yep. We have an enormous bezzle in play - that’s the difference between the assumed price of things and the actual productive capacity of the economy.
AFAICS it only gets resolved one of two ways: a massive reduction in the price of assets, including housing , shares and collectibles; or serious inflation.
I think the second will be chosen, because it’s less painful for the wealthy and they run the world obvs.
They started already replacing us with robots, this is the present I am afraid.
Bots are already in almost every business…
If all else fails i can always go back to my ol’ dusty piano. This makes me just as happy.
god I’m glad I’m a billionaire CEO. Things are finally looking up
This is your time, own it
I was thinking of investing in pitchfork manufacturing. Might you share some thoughts?
